Wow. This is a 61-year-old man who just happened to drop in being brought here because of the Limp Bizkit review you did. I was curious that if you didn't like Limp Bizkit, what did you like? All I can say is, men have changed while I've been away. The razzle-dazzle and pure pop elements are truly--to me, mind you--what I would expect to see/hear on Eurovision from back in the 80s. Yes, I liked what I heard at first, but even what I liked was derivative of Death Metal, and then seeing these little girls singing in their fluffy dresses, I really have to ask: what are your eyes seeing and ears hearing that mine are not? To me this translates into fluff, so I went ahead and looked into the lyrics and noticed most of them were just disconnected pat phrases heard in songs for years. I mean, in the same way I look down on a band like Guns and Roses whose sound I might like but, because this Babymetal suffers the same affliction, I have to place the same judgement on them. You said the lyrics of Nookie weren't worth mentioning, and I sort of agree. But at the same time the purpose of that music is not to enlighten but to tell a story about getting betrayed and then having to deal with it when everyone in the neighborhood knows and yet all the while privately still yearning for the girl. A lot of anger and frustration are pumped out for all to see in the driving parts of the song. But none of this is done in a cloying, drippy, "see me how much I hurt" kind of low IQ way of delivery. Instead it's handled like guys (used to) handle things. Have a blow out with your friends and get over it. The underlying message being, your travails aren't that important and--in effect--you're not that important so blow it off and do it with a good dose of humor. None of this would have been surprising to men back in the day, it was merely an acknowledgment of how he, I, and we dealt with things. And most importantly of all, it was done with an absolutely great song (in my personal opinion) that pumps up the testosterone levels to the point nothing hurts anymore, you are now fully in control again, back with your friends and having a great time. I write this to get into your head in order to understand what it is that you're perceiving. We're both men, but have we changed THAT much?

Really good reaction! New sub here. You've missed so much. After this came well, not sure what exact order cuz they dropped tracks so quickly and back to back. Fans minds blown AND they've been on tour awhile during this whole time. (Btw, Jordon Fish - producer, writer, keybordist, backup vocalist left BMTH, shocking & saddening fans we weren't given the reason for his departure) Great MCR-ish pop-punk type song - 'Lost' with awesome music video/movie starring Oli and the incredibly wild heavy BMTH returned with the crazy song - 'Amen' (feat. lil uzi vert, Daryl Palumbo(sp?) from Glass Jaw) 'Code Mistake' (with Corpse Husband)then 'Koolaid' their most recent, great video and incredible song tbh. You got some catching up to do. Thanks! ✌️😇🤟

Great to see someone covering RAY - I assume you know their background, but for anyone that doesn't they're a follow on project from ・・・・・・・・・ (a.k.a Dots), a similar shoegaze/idol crossover. Check the writing/performances credits on this track and you'll see it is packed with an impressive list of names from the shoegaze/math/noise scene. The track is taken from RAY's third album, Camellia, which is equally impressive and covers the groups usual range of related musical styles. Tempted to put it in my top 10 of 2023 - still thinking about it. Looks like you're covering some interesting stuff so I'll need to find more time for your channel.

For me the part about 'love and hate....i take it all' is the core. I don't think it was sarcastic. Basically they talk to themselves that hate was made because of misunderstanding but its still you so no reason to ignore your part and just admit that some people will hate some of your sides

😅 Kingslayer really should used a very live scream! Instead of the fake computer noice would never reach the highest Apex loudest sound ever made five years ago in very beautiful Japan! From passcode for epicness or Passcode band, the four ever rising talented ladies of Japan.🇯🇵 [ Taking you out is a very impressive beautiful song. ] The scream very instantly would waste No time to get to the highest level pure lovely perfection of total successful greatnesss of performance skills.👏 Theirs a lovely note in the middle part of song. The young talented charming lady sings mostly love of very fine, very fine, very fine. Then the music continues plays faster of electronic guitar of mix heavy medal music lyrics performance skills. The young talented ladies real true screaming vioces of well perfectly never heavy medal music. Babymetal wasn't played real true heavy medal music lyrics nearly a decade ago the great music since the classic babymetals red an black style clothing period. My great inspiring wisdom for today. Have a great fabulous wonderful day.😀

All live “metal/rock bands” are some deviation of theatrical entertainment or stage performers. So under that vast umbrella term, Babymetal are “stage performers” or “entertainers.” But I don’t think it’s wrong calling them a band either from a certain perspective. I think we all agree metal bands are judged very heavily by their abilities to throw on a show and not just studio music. Babymetal might “cheat” on the studio production side, but the fact they can execute it so well live and make it better than the studio track, practically makes them well more than qualified to be an authentic metal band . For those that argue against this because their live production is funded by a corporation, that is not their fault and there is nothing stopping other bands from being funded as well. It’s just the rest of the industry is more concerned about sucking existing talent dry all the Amuse Inc actually builds up and invests in existing music talent.

Glad for you, that you survived your semester ;) Whenever Angie (the pink haired vocalist) is involved in the lyric writing, you get a lot of "stream of conciousness" as a technique. So all the fragments of text flying around leave a lot of room for interpretation by the listener. Mostly they are trying to convey, that a person adjusts to the situation they are in, both influenced by themselves and also their surroundings. The question is mainly, how far does the replica deviate from the "original" self. Does the self get lost on the way? Also, there is "residue" from the other replicas (like the candy bar in the bag-metaphor), so there is another factor, that influences the "replica of the day". The lyric doesn't try to give answers, it just presents this observation and passes it on to us. I thought of the situation, that if I have to dress up nicely for my job, when I rather would like to wear my jeans and T-shirt, and have to smile at my customers, pretending to be in a good mood, when I'd rather have my resting-bitch-face on, how much of the real me is left in this "pretend"-replica? And also it poses the question of how much does that replica become a part of the "self". I just love the lyrics (and the song, the MV, the whole package). Can't wait for the next one! Cheers :)

The Korean in the beginning means "Stay forever my Demian". The book Demian by German author Hermann Hesse is about Emil Sinclair, who is a young boy raised in a middle class home, amidst what is described as a "Scheinwelt" (a play on words meaning "world of light" as well as "world of illusion"), so the entire existence can be summarised as a struggle between two worlds: the show world of illusion and the real world, the world of spiritual truth. Accompanied and prompted by his mysterious classmate and friend "Max Demian", he detaches from and revolts against the superficial ideals of the world of appearances and eventually awakens into a realization of self. It is about the duality of the world, and Dreamcatcher know quite a bit about duality. 😉 I believe that is also why they cover half of their face in the choreo. The choreo was done by SuA, and she did a brilliant job! Musically I really enjoy Demian, it has some elements of ProgRock in it, which is one of my beloved genres of music.
