Pitch slider is the GOAT when it comes to quickly finding the aligned BPM. Looks mystical AF too, like you understand the turntables language.

Can i ask a question...you know when you nudge the pitch fader slight off and the 0 pitch light is still on.. has the pitched moved or does the light need to be off to have gone + or - ?
@TRESSHOFF2 ай бұрын
Hey there! Yes, however, the area right around zero is slightly inaccurate. Even if the light just went off, you may not get the response you expect. The workaround is to change the pitch on both decks, so that the new track moves away from zero, making it easier to beat match.

@TRESSHOFF2 ай бұрын
@@pkliskiki1800 what I was trying to say is your BPM can be in-sync, but your kicks can be missaligned, so you need to “phase shift” your new track by adjusting and resetting the pitch ❤️

It’s absolutely solid, looks, feels and sounds great. Dedicated phono inputs with individual gain knobs - awesome for using record players and digital inputs at the same time. On the down side, the only effect you get is filter+resonance. Cheers!

Easiest way is .. set your record you want to match at a higher speed , drop it and keep wiggling the pitch down n up quickly until they are matched . Takes seconds

@@88layts its not hard . Very easy , just drop it and hold the platter pin at centre and wiggle that pitch .. youl hear it match up in seconds . I rarely touch the record once dropped just wiggle the pitch , once its there just a slight push or hold to line the start of beats tight and thats it 👌 . Dont " chase it " youl be forever touching the record . Drop , hold pin , wiggle wiggle pitch .. 3 or 4 seconds of that and job done

Controllers are definitely easier. CDJs, especially the older ones, are actually deceptively tricky. Anything short of pretending to play a pre-recorded set is fine by me.

To all the sync button haters.... sync is there for a reason. To be used, period! It helps when u have too much going on at once. It saves time. But for it to work properly, ur beatgrids have to be on point, otherwise, ur mix will sound like a train wreck. Hence, it's important to make sure all ur tracks in ur library are prepared beforehand (setting cue points, name them, adjust the beatgrid if need be, etc...)
@garyb1036Күн бұрын
A decent dj will be able to lock the bpms in by ear within a couple of seconds. To me, that's part of the fun and how I learnt on the 1210s back in the day,I bought a controller last year, and even though there's a lot more you can do with it than you could with two turntables and a mixer,it's just not as fun.

Watching people beat matching with a display telling them the exact tracks bpm is the biggest cringe ever. Beat matching is for all analog vinyl mixing by ear not the current age of all digital mixing. It is a waste of time and some what a way to look busy behind a mixer. People need to get over this whole idea of you need to be able to beatmatch to be a dj.

If it was illegal why do company’s put it on the controller? It’s a tool just like every other button. 🤷🏻♂️ Some people use it some people don’t. It does not define who you are as a Dj. Just like driving an automatic car vs a stick shift does not define you as a driver.
@TRESSHOFF Жыл бұрын
Hey, I don’t make up the rules, but everybody knows that if you get caught with than button blinking, you could get your DJ license suspended and you might have to go to DJ court to explain yourself. The controller companies are in on it.
