Well put, Richard. I don't have kids get bored with Kahoot and similar tools because I change it up, therefore, am not using them all that often in a single school year. For some review I'll use Kahoot, especially if I need kids to remember basic facts that can be enforced via multiple choice questions, I also use Pear Deck's Vocabulary review with Quizlet, or Pear Deck for more types of questions and discussions. Classcraft has Boss Battles that are also very fun for kids. And like you mentioned, having kids show their learning through projects, making videos, blogging (yes, blogging is still alive in schools and there are schools out there looking for other classes to connect with), presenting, making models, and designing their own experiments are great ways to assess kids without "testing" or "quizzing" them to death. I say it's all in changing things up and keeping it different so kids don't have a chance to get bored with anything we do!

Great points, Richard. I'm grateful that in our profession it certainly feels like the vast majority of educators want to take the high road and model integrity when it comes to intellectual property. - Tim

It is the content that is important- and that's something I get in all your videos. I agree- folks don't have time to edit everything and sometimes I think the special effects reduce the impace of the message!

Thank you so much for publishing this. I used the old Google Maps for years to make vacation maps for my family. When Google updated their Map feature, I couldn't figure out how to do this again. I searched everywhere. I'm not sure why Google dropped the ball on directing us to this feature.

aigera 77, to retrieve a report do the following: on the main screen click on manage quizzes, you will see the third option is: retrieve a previous quiz report. Using the drop down box, select the quiz you wish and then click send report or download report.

I love the "add image" feature. However, I think it is key to find a way to add images from an uploaded spreadsheet quiz. I have used many of these quiz tools over the years, Socractive has been by far the easiest. The thing I like most is that I can simply upload a quiz from a previously existing d-base of questions (excel spreadsheet). If the quiz tool goes sideways/bankrupt/gets acquired by a company I don't like etc, I will always have my spreadsheet.
