It was so unique, a once in a life time experience. Its just Quality and Art. The music, the singing, the costumes, the drama! I have enjoyed the performance in CC Asse so much...❤❤❤

As was often the case in Mozart's time, and in order to make this project more agile and affordable for future tournées, Sigiswald Kuijken has adapted the opera's score for chamber ensemble: a string quintet with double bass and two horns, supported by a harpsichord. All musical elements and harmonies are present.

Nur wenige lyrische Tenöre können oder konnten die Evangelisten-Partien der BACHschen Passionen - und besonders diese äußerst schwierige Stelle - so schön singen: FRITZ WUNDERLICH, ERNST HAEFLIGER, PETER SCHREIER, THEO ALTMEYER und CHRISTOPH PRÉGARDIEN. Dear Gerlinde, thank you for your beautiful comment! Only a few lyric tenors can or have been able to sing the evangelist parts of BACH's Passions - and especially this extremely difficult passage - so beautifully: FRITZ WUNDERLICH, ERNST HAEFLIGER, PETER SCHREIER, THEO ALTMEYER and CHRISTOPH PRÉGARDIEN. Chère Gerlinde, merci pour votre beau commentaire! Seuls quelques ténors lyriques peuvent ou ont pu chanter si magnifiquement les parties évangélistes des Passions de BACH - et surtout ce passage extrêmement difficile - : FRITZ WUNDERLICH, ERNST HAEFLIGER, PETER SCHREIER, THEO ALTMEYER et CHRISTOPH PRÉGARDIEN.

これぐらいの少人数のまさに「室内楽」な組合わせだと、現代のチェロだと音量や音質でちぐはぐな感じにチェロが浮いちゃうんだよね。 ヴィオロンチェロの復元は素晴らしい快挙だと思います♪。
