There was a video some time ago where a ranger in Ranthambore was on the ground near a gypsy jeep. The tiger acted like it had no interest in him and suddenly turned around and attacked the guy. It was on top of him so fast, he had no chance to dive under the jeep. He lost his life unfortunately. Just do NOT try something like this!!!! You may very well BE a memory.

Some guys suggested about Restricting Number of Jeeps. Well that's in force at every Safari and its Zones. The forest guards and rangers do patrol ,mostly on foot with little or no protection ( a little axe or a Lathi sometimes). However that in no way justified the recklessness of this joker bcoz he's with tourists and his act has put them at risk. I feel it was Grandstanding and the tiger sorted the situation by a small mock charge.

The 1st Tiger got angry at 2:13, and chased the Ranger away, did he survive the attack, or was he chased and killed ? Nobody knows. The 2nd Tiger / Tigress patiently strolls and walks down, at 3:18 & sits down, probably waiting to see if the other Tiger / Tigress returns with the kill, or if the Ranger would come back alive to the same spot.
