Bouverie Street was originally a drag strip . Start was at queensberry st lights and finish line was pelham st. Once people got a sniff of what was going on, they filled the street and turned it into a burnout pad. Good times!

obviously not old enuf mate, before Bouverie was Cardigan St, when the cops and vicroads put the island on the burnout intersection ( Cardigan & Pelham ) we moved on, Swanston was out of the question cause the trammies would try run into us and Bouverie was born. After the big raid where so many got pinged and the center was blocked off by a traffic island, we tried very hard to keep it going in Pelham & Leicester but to no avail... I remember the last big bust, I lost my Val and got belted by a big black copper in the park.... It was the best days of my youth, the cops would come and we'd all disappear to either Dande drags, Pipe Rd or Cherry lane Lavo or later on Coopers Street epping..... Ahh the good ol' days

yep these were the days and even earlier ie: 1980 and 1981, 82 83,84,85. :) Night clubs as well and doing floor shows all over melbourne with breakdancing skills and also some of the best cars around melbourne. :) Also was driving a 1984 VK Calais at that time and all the car yards on sydney road were full of HDT holdens and now days you have to almost sell your home for one ?. :)

I have some more better footage when it was up at Cardigan street also have the big bust when cops busted the place installed video cams and got everyone . Remember Green Gremlin and George with RED RAT XD i have all them on the other video and also the King of Burnouts Geoff with the Black HQ, Also guys remember charlies Fox the XA Yellow Coupe .

Me and my mates where always there at nights,I used to drive an original Black SLR 5000 Torana,I remember doing this brakey burnout untill I literally popped the Tyre,I popped it on purpose knowing I had a my spare but then realised i didn't have my locknut bolt with me.So it got towed home,We used to rip bongs in our cars and then started smokin up the place,Sometimes we would even bring our own motor oil and pour it all over the road on that little section where you had enough room to do donuts or figure 8's ♨️♨️♨️

+my opinion i know a few people on there, i was looking for myself but i used to go to the night meets there, i owned a brown chrysler by chrysler i did a burnout when i was 15/16 years old the crowd yelled cops cops cops i parked the car on the side of the rd then blended into the crowd then the cops drove through the smoke then everyone cheered and laughed. a guy who lived on st-georges rd filmed me and i hope it was on this video to bring back memories....
