You’re a great storyteller! Your documentary was so good! I’m in shock. I want to get the Sony FX6 and this is literally the video that told me this is the best move! Keep it up. You gained a subscriber and a fan!

For sports, the FX6 has an ‘ace in the hole.’ You can turn on cache record and set it at 120fps. The follow the action without recording. When something good happens (a slam dunk, a goal, a diving catch etc) you hit record. The FX6 will constantly be ‘buffering’ the previous 30 seconds to card. One you hit record it writes the previous 30 seconds to card. Sorta makes you look like the hero to the client as you never miss a highlight but done have to slog through puked of footage to find the highlight.

What codec you shot on 4k 60p? Orrr??

Dude - that was so so so so so good. I’m about to have negotiations with a startup who are going for a big investment and they want a pitch video. I always though narrative film making was my thing. But honestly the fact that what you made was so real was so inspiring. I’m going to think outside the box for sure when I work with clients. Authenticity is key.

Very true Rich! However there is another way the term “sun sandwich” is used and isn’t preferable to a nice image - this is when you use a poly/ultra bounce/muslin to bounce the sun back toward your subject on the shadow side rather than wrapping around from the sun side (hope this makes sense haha)

I actually have a documentary ‘snippet’ on my channel- that leads to the full thing on the subject’s YT. I would love your honest opinion or feedback on it if you have time. I found your channel about halfway the process of me making it- and it did help a lot seeing how someone else was making short docs.
