When you turn it on like plug it right into the wall does it just start running in slow mode or does it do nothing
@IainBrewSydney
@IainBrewSydney 9 ай бұрын
It depends which mode you leave it in i.e. if you leave it in show mode, it will boot up and automatically start. If you have DMX connected, it will turn on, calibrate and then wait for DMX information before doing anything

May I ask what light the motion is triggering? Is it a separate motion sensor flood light or the light on the camera? My CX410 just arrived yesterday and it had an issue with the "vehicle detection" staying on when nothing was in the frame, so I manually updated it and it fixed that but seemed to have taken away everything else, like it doesn't even have the option to trigger the light on when it senses motion, all the light options are gone. So much about the one I have is so different from what I've seen on YT from you and a few others. It's like Reolink takes away all the key features that made this great in the first place, or at least changes them in a bad way. Also mine does the most annoying thing I've seen in these cameras yet, it freezes and lags for a good 1.5 - 2 seconds when an external source of light is introduced. For example I had a flood light mounted directly underneath all perfect and ready to go and once night hit and the light was triggered on by motion, the light would make the camera "transition" or something causing it to freeze for a bit. Idk if it's going back and forth to some kind of "day mode" then "night mode" but it's annoying as hell. It does it when the external light shuts off after 20 sec. as well. My only solution so far is to move that external motion sensor light from underneath the camera about 6 or 7 feet away and around a pillar that kind of hides its bright shine. Such a great camera for night but terrible decisions on certain features. HDR setting ("Off" and "Auto") doesn't even do anything to my camera for either option. There's an "Infrared Lights" ("Auto" and "Stay Off") option that does absolutely nothing as well. I thought this camera didn't utilize IR lights? Also, the image is incredibly over exposed and the one lamp on my street at night is beyond blown out, the whole left side of the image is way too bright. Any detailed feedback from you would help a bunch ha, I appreciate the vids you made as well. Thanks.

I just bought one too. Frustrated at constant vehicle detection for parked car on my driveway. No person detection. I downloaded the latest firmware and updated the camera. Now works perfectly. Try that if you haven't already. Mine was two versions behind. Reolink support have been quick and responsive too, which is nice.

@@stuu3270 Thanks for the response. Yea I actually manually updated the firmware on the camera via usb drive and it took care of the non-stop "vehicle detection", but then when I went into all the settings they were all either changed or now missing lol. I'm currently having an issue with my camera doing this "transition freeze" thing whenever an external source of light is introduced too close to the camera. I've seen other folks say they have the same issue on Reddit. I moved my motion sensor flood light about 7 or 8 feet away around a small pillar, still aiming towards what the camera sees, and now it's fine, the light will turn on seamlessly and there's no "freeze" or "pause" on the camera. Smh lol such a great camera at night though, I will say that.

At first I felt I should have gone for a 12MP the 1224 I think it is, as the daytime image is much the same as my old Hikvision... until I saw the nighttime footage. I wanted to replace the horrible Hikvision UI and lack of browser support, as well as crap night vision with a lot of ghosting. So this Reolink option does the job.

These cameras are a great addition to mix in with the 4K range where you need night time colour performance or where Infrared won't work well - the 4K does have a bit more detail in black and white, however the colour performance of this camera is fantastic in low light conditions

Hi there - I haven't had the stuttering effect on any of my devices. Do you see this with any other ReoLink cameras you own? It may be the PC is underpowered or struggling with the 4K video. Try looking at it in 'fluent' mode

Hello! I am using a ReoLink NVR but have also used Synology Surveillance Station. The cameras have ONVIF which means they are compliant with any ONVIF NVR (ONVIF is an open standard for security cameras and recording systems). You may lose some features though depending on the capabilities of the NVR you have.

Amazing nighttime performance but, as expected, the 4MP leaves much to be desired by the way of resolution. I hope Reolink listen’s to the crowd and offers this new tech in their 8 & 12MP products.
@JePeVePe
@JePeVePe Жыл бұрын
still, if I see the 4K versions of the other models of Reolink, most, don't improve much. Sensor is mostly 'too small' and, as always, less MP's on a sensor, mostly improves low light.

Both cameras were set to 100%. During my testing, the CX410 didn’t need to use its warm LEDs to illuminate the scene. It seems the loan streetlight across the road was more than enough to effectively illuminate the driveway.
