What do you do? Don't use *Social media* Don't use *Wi-fi* in Public - Ever. VPNs are (for most part) a *Scam* cause I can still track you. PS; Incogni only works outside of *US & Canada* DeleteMe is only in *US & Canada* P.P.S: I'm a Data advisor & Pen-tester.

"Your domain isn't stuck at squarespace" > me who requested a transfer 3 days ago and haven't gotten my transfer code in "up to 24 hours", no email of any kind, and have heard of it taking even longer for other people Price for my domain doubled when it automatically migrated from google to ss I swear, they hide this information from people just to get an extra $20 out of people whos automatic renewal date is "too soon"

I don't understand... As a brand new customer to Cloudways, I can still choose Vultr servers. So did they backtrack that decision in the past 10 months?

To much abstraction is a bad thing. Doing damn near everything for a user in the background is detrimental for the user. Sad thing is most users are all too willing to lean on that crutch.

An iPhone used like a dumb phone, like I Do, is more secure and private than any other device. I don't use Google on my older iPhone, I have a full texting experience, most texts are private due to iMessage, there are NO 3rd party app, just Apple apps. Only KZbin is on my computer.

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experiences relating to GoDaddy. I have been a GoDaddy customer for many years, and I agree with some of your points, such as their fees being a bit high and their website builder not being a very good product. Personally, I have not had the same negative customer experiences with GoDaddy that you have gone through, such as the rep being more of a sales person than someone who can help with technical issues. As an example, I recently called GoDaddy support to help connect my domain to a site I built in Squarespace. I waited only a minute or two on hold before the rep came on, and he was extremely helpful, guiding me step-by-step through the process. Within an hour, my site was live. Yes, it was an extremely complicated process that I never would have figured out on my own, but to be fair, I do not know if GoDaddy or Squarespace is more at fault for that. Throughout my conversation with the GoDaddy rep, he never mentioned other products and agreed with me that the website builder could be improved. He might be the exception to the rule, and I have had other reps ask if I was interested in certain products, but it wasn't anything beyond what I would expect or that I thought was annoying. A simple "I'm not interested" was all it took to move on.

Whenever I build smaller sites on Cloudflare Pages and need a form, I usually use Google Forms and then rebuild the form with HTML in Wordpress to make it look seamless. It's an extra step and a lot of work that I wouldn't recommend, but it can help the seamless look!

Chris, you know a lot about using Cloudflare to do amazing stuff. I have been reading on how to bypass the Great Firewall of China using Cloudflare. It seems like it is possible, but the solutions are cryptic at best. Is is possible to use Cloudflare to bypass the GFW? Even VPNs don't work anymore.

Thanks for the video. I have a question about email aliases. This is all new to me so if my question doesn't make sense, I apologize. For privacy, spam reduction, and account security, is it better to create an email alias for each of my accounts that require an email using whatever provider I choose (proton, tuta, etc) or would it be better to use something like simplelogin or annonaddy to create email addresses and have them forwarded to my email provider? Thanks!

Why would a country ever take away registered domains? Surely they are making revenue from them.
@Craylor7 күн бұрын
It ultimately boils down to politics. They could choose to take away even one person’s domain name if they didn’t want that individual to have it anymore. Or, perhaps the country decides that their TLD will only be for residents going forward and seizes the domains that can’t provide an address in the country. These things are unlikely but not impossible. Country code TLDs feel like the Wild West as a result. A happy medium could be to use country code TLDs that have a strong, long term reputation for being widely used like .co, .ai, .io, etc.

Proton Pass is convienient for those who don't care about their privacy. Why? Because their browser extension require to log in by their website. That means your browser has to store Proton's cookies. If you clear cookies closing the browser, Proton Pass extension will forget your login credentials. Bitwarden works differently - you can log in directly in the extension and decide if Bitwarden should log you out when you close the browser, or keep you logged in. Deleting browser's cookies does not affect that. IMO Proton is not ready yet, not for their price. They want $2 per month. Bitwarden only $1. I like Proton Pass interface, but I REALLY don't like that they are basing on cookies. More funny - you cannot use eclusively yubikeys with Proton - first you need to set up less safe authentication app. Proton is just not yet ready.
