Animals been living way b4 humans and their shenanigans

They have yes, but since humans , they eat differently, they have bits in their mouths , it’s our duty to give them full care possible. Horses don’t often live as long in the wild due to the fact that they are unable to self regulate very well - if we can improve or prolong their lives by health care, we absolutely will

Hi Melody, my PSSM 2 horse behaves just the same. To loose the hind and the shoulder I do shoulder in/hind in in short intervalls in hand at a walk. To get the muscles loose and warm before starting the exercise I give a massage. The masterson-method helps a lot. When lunging I do it free. So the horse can take a position which is comfortable, and the human is out of harms way. For riding I went for the western style with very slack reins. The horse learns to be steered by the touch of the outer rein. There is no contact with the mouth. Maybe bitless riding might help. Thus headshaking is not so much a problem as the horse can choose how to carry its head. I don´t ask my horse to canter as my goal is to keep my horse´s muscles supple. On a bad day I refrain from riding and do loosening exercises, massage or we go for a walk. In bad weather I cover my horse with a rug, ideally before the weather changes. When doing exercises in bad weather I deck him with a lighter watertight rug changeing to a warmer rug afterwards. And keeping the feeding regime! I hope you can take something from my experience with a PSSM horse and whish you and Romeo all the best.

Why you youall do b that
@Thehorsebarber Жыл бұрын
Hi Margaret , we do creative grooming for many reasons , traditionally we shave horses in the winter month as the coat becomes too thick for them to do any ridden work, and many other reasons such as health regulating and comfort and wellbeing of the horse - adding a creative touch is a personal preference for horse owners 😊
