Love her! I love the sash. If it's stuck, you can pick someone that also has something that moves when stationary, like storm's cape, then pick dark phoenix and it will work correctly... at least on the ps2 version. If you pick gambit then her, you get the wind motion that he has lol

The man optic blasts the heck out of folks, what more are you looking for?! I honestly love everything Cyclops does in this game and I think it's the best version of him that's ever appeared in games period, but I respect that other people may have different opinions. But also, they are wrong.

@@sandalwoodgrips Well, since watching this video, I saw a bit more of what he can do in someone else's Arcade run. Gameplay looked a bit faster than what I initially thought, but this definitely isn't better than MVC2 Cyclops. GOATED.

I just came to find out what CCR stands for. I get the concept, but the abbreviation isn't familiar.

CCR is unique to Next Dimension! It stands for Combo Counter Reset and when triggered it resets the combo counter and damage scaling. But not gravity scaling, which is odd. CCR gives every character in the game access to insane damage and touch of deaths. It's awesome.

Storm’s El Niño also stops the clock and hits from full screen. I used it quite a bit. She’s my favorite though.

You know, I spend so much time playing X-Men now I haven't gotten a chance, but I LOVE speedrunning this game! I created so many fun strats and found so much neat tech. Unfortunately I just can't grind it out like I used to. But I can feel the fire starting to kindle again...

How did you get the cpu opponents to use different costumes while playing arcade mode on the PS2 version? For me they always use the default costumes. This game has it's issues but, I've always enjoyed it so thank you for giving it attention. Your videos have tought me many things that I didn't know about it so thank you!

Would you wanna see a fan rebalance for this game to make it tournament viable or would you be down to play the vanilla. I grew up with this shit but didn't remember it being this deep. Came across your channel looking through old forums talking about how unclear it was to unlock dark phoenix. I played through the story and arcade so fuckin much for her and then had to do it all over when I lost my memory card.

Yoooo I think any kind of balance would be great if this game had a competitive scene, but frankly I would miss all the absurd jank. The jank is what made me really fall in love with Next Dimension. I do play this with folks on Dolphin and PSC2 occasionally and rounds can be as one-sided as it looks when I nuke the AI, but that's part of the charm at this point. Glad you find these vids dude. Hopefully you enjoy the trip down memory lane! I've got hundreds and hundreds of videos going over every nook and cranny of this game, dig in and let me know what you think! And Dark Phoenix is just an unlock code away yo! Otherwise you gotta get a perfect on Bastion in story mode and nobody's got time for that!

@sandalwoodgrips I never knew about the code, and there was a ton of misleading information on what actually unlocked her. When I got her I didn't really even know what did it. Still it's crazy comparing it to tekken 8, alot of the mechanics align. I feel like without any infinites or t.o.d it could be competitive without changing of the frames or anything too crazy.
