So interesting the two things brought up about Imogen. I already had some questions concerning two interactions between her and Violet. 1. Imogen has a secret royal identity? During the Archives heist, Imogen comments about Violet keeping Aaric's secret. Violet replies, "I kept yours too." WHAT? What secret? I thought it might be her signet, but then Aaric replies, he wasn't surprised Violet kept her secret. 2.) Memory wiping? After Xaden reminds the Assembly of his scar across his heart, Violet thinks, "that's what Imogen was trying to tell me on the Flight Field." WHEN? I scoured the book for a scene between Imogen and Violet on the flight field and couldn't find one. Editing errors or is Yarros planting something? And talk about unreliable narrator. Violet is clearly having important moments we're not privy to. Interesting.

Here is my hot take (hear me out) as someone who only just read the ACOTAR series. Tamlin needs therapy, as do all the High Lords. But Tamlin is not only cursed like all the others he has also been given the most impossible task (the find a human make them love you thing) knows it will be next to impossible to do in order to save ALL of fae kind. He has that massive weight on his shoulder the whole time. Then somehow he pulls it off and then has to watch her be tortured, while he sat there and couldnt help in any way. At this point I am shocked he isnt in a corner rocking. His way of dealing with his trauma is in no way acceptable. He wants to keep her safe at all costs, often ignoring her own trauma and her trauma responses. He just wants her life to be easy and carefree. Which to him is being the lady of the manor and spending her days painting etc. Which we all know ends in him locking her into the house triggering her PTSD. Now tell me how any of that is different to R & F trapping Nesta in the House of wind? Putting her there against her will, and condemning and pulling down her home so she has no where to go back too? Triggering her own PTSD response. Then forcing her to become a fighter against her will. She very clearly said she had no interest at the start of learning to fight and she was forced into it. And the only way she could control this was to try to make it into something else. By adding her own friends (outside of any known to R&F) and calling them self a name unrelated to known current fighting forces. Its utterly wild why Tamlin gets smashed yet Rhy does the same thing and ppl say how great he is.... Massive congrats on your 1 year :)

My first thought when Tairn was telling Violet to be in the present and not the past was to keep her from going into a trauma response with going to the place where she was tortured.

I would like to thank you for giving me faith in the rest of the Massvere. Read it all, loved ACOTAR and TOG, but was very disappointed with CC. Thought it had so many plot holes, useless characters and plots and I just really hated Bryce with Hunt to a point it made the book difficult to read (I know she is supposed to be this badass character, but I just didn’t see it in her. Not like Aelin in Tog. Lydia would have made a better main character in my opinion). I also found the cross over disappointing (probably because I really needed my fav from TOG or more Feyre/Rhysand). But your fourth book series theory that would include a more complete cross over to destroy the true evils….. it makes sense and gives me hope. Gives a chance for a Bryce’s redemption (even if I just hope both Bryce and Hunt become evil tbh). Also Danika and whatshisface were mates, but indeed didn’t breed.

I think Xaden has his minds walls closed so tightly because Venin has a hive mind & he doesn't want them to talk to him or hear them!👀 I think this excerpt is the end of Ch 1, personally.🤷🏻‍♀️ He's called an 'initiate' because all newly turned Venin are called that. It's in the chapter heading that explains the levels of Venin in Iron Flame.😉

i think vi and xaden might not be able to talk between their bond because saegyl might have shut xaden out. RY said something about her and xaden not talking, so i wonder if that goes down to their bond level. which could also be why the bond is impenetrable…it’s still there, but they can’t use it

It just dawned on me that that venin with the silver braid could be Violet's sibling. Lilith was ill during pregnancy, she could have twins, and she might face the question of whom to save during the labour, "girl1" or "girl2". It is just the imagination, of course, but why not?)

The Stone Mother myth sounds a lot like Rhys and Feyre. Feyre basically had to kill Tamlin under the mountain and she did. As he had a heart of stone. It is possible that this was just a little Easter egg from SJM on where she got some inspiration for ACOTAR and weaved it in. However, it is suspicious why she would put that in the bonus chapter of HOFAS and not the ACOTAR series. And the lonely man does match what Azriel is like in ACOSF. I ship Bryce and AZ hardcore, I feel like they are a great mate match. But I had to play devil's advocate on this one.

what if hunt does hurt Bryce in some way or at least come close that scares her enough that Az can feel it (like rhysand feeling Feyre's terror from Tamlin), and so Az pulls her back to Pythian

what if the reason it's taking so long for the next acotar book is because she is making the next one a TANDEM read with the next CC book and its like Bryce and Az working together between Midgard and Pythian and it needs two books worth of pages for their epic love story omg it would be so good. Also is a way to make sure everyone reads both series if they haven't already...
