Damn bro this is one of the worst I have ever seen. I hope you can get out there soon. I deliberately moved to an upstairs apartment recently but unfortunately it turned out to be not much better. Family under me has a kid and the house is very poorly insulated. This results in similar noises like you have to witness. It may be a little bit less worse than having the noise coming from upstairs, but it’s still sickening to be honest. I truly don’t know how people manage to live in apartments. The constant noise disturbances during the day. But the worst is when it disrupts your sleep during the night or early morning hours. Your neighbors literally dictate when you can sleep and when you wake up then and it can truly disrupt your life by fing up your sleep schedule. I’m thinking about getting a van at some point to be able to escape the apartment life when it gets too bad. Unfortunately owning a house is far out of reach for me. This would be my dream. Imagine living in a house where you not have to deal with this anymore.

I've been going through this crap ever since I moved into my apartment 2 years ago. Ive lived at the same complex for 10 years, in 8 of those 10 i never have to write a one complaint. In the last 2 years I've had 3 different families and 1 general maintenance guy and 1 maintenance supervisor above me in those 2 years. The first family allowed their 2 kids to run, jump, scream, etc at all hours of the day and night. I had spoken with the property manager about the issue, she insured me that they would get a notice to cease. The letter lasted about 2 weeks then the noise started right back up. I sent my next complaints via email with sound and video attachments. The vibrations from the kids running and jumping would set off my cameras. Eventually they were given the ultimatum of leaving on their own or be brought to court, they left on their own. The next family was the maintenance guy, absolutely no control over his 3 kids. I spoke with him one on one about it and he responded the same "you can control your dog's I can't control my kid". I was dumbfounded. It continued for a few more weeks which forced my hand to send a complaint to the management office. He was fired, not because of the noise but because he lied on his job application. Turned out he didn't know a damn thing about building maintenance. The next family I thought I'd get along with because the wife is an army veteran like myself. Everything was cool for a few months until the husband became the child. I'm pretty sure he would do swan dives off the bed, couch and bar. He smoked weed which I didn't care about but he couldn't handle it. He'd start his coughing fits and jump up and down at 3 in the morning. Daily the husband and wife would argue, I learned from the arguments that's he's a shit father and she should have never married him. They eventually moved. Next was the maintenance supervisor who was given carte blanche. He'd renovate the apartment at 2 in the morning. Hammering, sawing, drilling. My girlfriend was friends with the property manager, now regional manager. She expressed her concerns and explained that our newborn is being prevented from sleeping. She said she would take care of it. His mentality is, the rules for thee do not apply to me. About 2 weeks later the regional stops my girlfriend and inquires about his flat tire, she replied the dry rotted one? The maintenance supervisor came out during their conversation, accusing one of us for slashing his tire (all were legit dry rotted) getting within inches of my girlfriends face cussing and calling her every name in the book. This guy is still currently employed BTW. They eventually moved him because the police got involved. Now it's a family with a child who runs nonstop from 6am-10pm. I'm not one to call the police and bother them with nonsense mentioned above when it can be handled in house. We can't catch a break. I know many will say move but unfortunately that isn't an option at the moment due to the fact of every apartment being so damn expensive.

@@noisyneighbors9885 I’m going to try that, I’ve reported the trash that lives upstairs 3 times and I’ve called the cops once because her and her boyfriend were fighting so violently I was concerned. Didn't work for me. I had fan and white noise machine, could still hear the thumps. It's getting close to 30 years, and I still have some issues hearing thumps and bumps. I was at a restaurant not too long ago, with a 2nd floor. There was some sort of party up there and such loud thumps and bumps, and a couple times was so bad a light kept going on and off. Yes, it started bothering me, and made comments to the waitress, but there was nothing they could do, so me and the people I was with just made jokes about it. Only way to be away from neighbors who make such noise, is to live out in the country far from all neighbors. But even there you might get coyotes howling and yip yapping outside your window lol.
