Five seconds in and you're already wrong. There are not many other MMORPGs that have a single linear storyline. FF14 is the only one that does that, because its designers do not understand the concept of MMORPGs, or of open world games in general.

Guthix didn’t create the anima mundi he regulated it in an effort to keep the balance of the world and keep the sleepers in stasis. Anima is a product of life existing and the more life thrives on a plane the greater it becomes but overflowing anima can create gods so Guthix did his best to keep it under control

Runes were discovered all the way in the first age, they were rediscovered in the fifth age. I don’t remember how this happened, I think it was a dispute over Zamorakian and Saradominist wizards trying to keep the art of Runecrafting to themselves, leading one of the groups to burn the original Wizard’s Tower down (Both groups thinks it was the other who did it) along with all the talismans both parties needed to actually make runes. I think Humans might’ve dominated way before the Fifth Age, once the God Wars ended, all the races that followed their Gods ended up fracturing, Humans were probably the least affected, since they were one of the first races in Gielinor, and all Humans didn’t exclusively worship one God, compared to most of the other races, except for when the Zarosian Empire came and ruled almost all of Gielinor in the 2nd Age, which made Demons the most dominant species for a good while.

Not to be that guy, but Guthix went to sleep in first age, because he realized the mortal races were beginning to start worshipping him. He adviced the races to not go down this path for this has previously caused the strife among races and the idea of Gielinor was to not have an all powerful deity, but be a balanced paradise where no god or king would rule the lands singlehandedly.
