🤩🤩🤩 wow that was incredible!!!!! I really love the oboe, and took it up just a year ago on my 58th birthday!! Such a beautiful instrument, I'm really loving embracing playing my oboe. So much to learn, many huge obstacles and challenges along the way, but I'm so very glad I took it up. I started out on a rental oboe, now I have one of my very own, a Buffet Crampon Prodige 4131 Thumb plate oboe, it is absolutely gorgeous to play!! I'm now doing Grade 4 scales and arpeggios and doing some pieces which is lovely. I recently had a go at playing duets with my friend, Ronnie. We had a wonderful time playing together, and she has started mentoring my playing as I don't have a teacher yet. Ronnie also gave me a whole stack of books that she doesn't need anymore that got her through her grade exams. Scales and arpeggio books, study books and loads more!!! This is absolutely excellent, and will really help my technique immensely. If I may, I will keep you posted how I get on. Any advice on top register notes going squeaky please?? Thank you very much.🤩

My favorite of the Quattro Pezzi Sacri. The "fac ut animae donetur paradisi gloria" near the end makes me tear up every time. It actually feels like the gates of heaven opening up which lifts the dark mood that was present the whole time before.
