I remember getting EXTREMELY lucky in this fight. As soon as I hit phase 2, I had absolutely no reviver seeds at all and my partner was down for the count, but yet rng was massively on my side since Dark Matter kept trying to burn me and kept charging power instead of going for sure hit attacks. I chose Charmander for my playthrough.

I battled this trainer said WOAH!!!!! Shiny!!!!!!! Then went to Exeggutor island and found a shiny Exeggcute the VERY first encounter. I thought maybe this was some sort of in game thing I told my friend about it he tried it but he got just a regular Exeggucute. That was a top moment in my Pokémon life. I still have the now Shiny Exeggutor on my copy of Sun.

I can’t go a year without revisiting this game. I have to come back to it time and again, like comfort food or your favourite book. Just the music makes me itch to play again.
