Thanks for the informative video. Gave me an idea on what to expect 😊. I have some questions : 1) If speed limit says 80 then does Thai motor rules allow some grace before Radar can click you ? I mean if you are driving at 81 on a 80 speed limit road - will the radar click you on 81 or does the Thai rules allow some extra grace like 10 or 20kms before Radar will click you. 2) What are the fines for speeding ? If possible - Can you pls share any website which gives full info in English - Thanks in advance 🙏 Kapun kha 🙏

Hi. There are speed cameras that can issue tickets. Just drive the same speed as everyone else (they are usually 5-10 over) and you will be fine. Have your rental agreement, passport, IDP and Drivers license ready for any checkpoints you may get stopped at.

As a frequent traveler to Thailand, I’ve taken both taxis and the airport link before. But mainly taxis, as I arrive from the U.S. with 2 checked baggage, a carryon and a backpack. In May, I took a taxi to Bangkok Sue railway station. The driver wanted 800 baht. I considered making him use the meter. I instead offered him 650 baht. I knew that the total fare would have been around 550 baht, with tolls and 50 baht airport surcharge and he would be loading and unloading my luggage. This October, I may try grab, or take airport link to Playa Thai and take a taxi from there. Trying to take the MRT blue line from Makkasan and the walk that involves would probably be too much after a 24 hour flight.

Blue MRT train. Exit Thailand Cultural Center Station. It is behind the Esplenade mall. This night market isn't as popular as the Jodd Fair market. The main difference is that this one has more drinking establishments. Have Fun!

Yes, the prices are fixed and tolls to pay. Getting a taxi leaving Bang Saen is not easy on the other hand, so be aware of that. You will need to pre arrange a pickup or find a service while in Bang Saen to go back to Bangkok.

I will staying near the bang kapi pier in bangkok. I don't see boat taxis as an option for travel on Google maps. I have a Android phone

Try the ViaBus app. I believe they use GPS to show the next boat. You will want that app anyway if you plan to take buses.

Usually not an issue at the airport, but yes in tourist areas or if there is very high dmand like when it is raining.

Vendors pay less rent for outdoor markets like Pratunam and Chatuchak. You may find the prices a little lower for some items when shopping outside compared to Platinum Mall or MBK mall.

This is an interesting question. I checked the Thai websites of some. Avis and Sixt for example, explicitly state they do not accept debit cards at Suvarnabhumi airport. You might have luck with other vendors, but you will need to check first. Good luck and have a nice trip!
