if we were using conservation of momentum, why are you using mv+ft=mv? shouldn't it be m1vi+m2vi=m1vf+m2vf ?

I understand that the brace restrains the displacements at the midpoint. But I think that the boundary conditions at midpoint should be clamped instead of pinned for the weak axis because there is a continuity in the column and the midpoint is not free to rotate

ola why do use q+w = deltah is in't q+w = mdot delta h for turbine
@abdurehmankero466721 күн бұрын
make sure as it is for specific h (which means all terms were divided by m and gave us for specific info for all)
@mebawubeshet672922 күн бұрын
Foe anyone wondering why the specific volume stays the same , it is not because of the rigid tank but because of the rigid tank + mass stays same. rigid tank alone tells us only the volume stays the same not the specific volume

In combined loading problem, are we considering a 2D square element on the surface of the member or a 3D cube stress element? I am getting confused on what the orientation of the element chosen is and how the stresses act on that element.

would you say that a hypothetical perpetual machine would have 100% efficiency since there is no energy applied to begin with and we still get some work, be it exponentially tiny? would you say that a semi perpetual machine ( work is required just to start the perpetual motion) would also have a 100% efficiency?
