This made my day. In 1974 I worked with UC Professor Harold Hayden to dig out the soil to pour a new concrete pad for Concrete Traffic which, for some reason, had to be moved closer to the street. On trips back to the campus I wondered where concrete Cadillac went.

None immediately died? More like 80,000 died in less than a second with another 60,000 dying anywhere from 1 day after to present day. The statement you made is absurd…in fact, it is the most deadly second in the history of mankind for immediate death.

Father Sosa invited everyone to “fix our eyes on him, so that his eyes may reflect to us the poor and humble Jesus who SEDUCED him to the point of madness. St. Ignatius was a madman for Christ, as the monk of Montserrat called him.”" Ahead of World Youth Day, the head of the Jesuits had a candid Q&A with six young pilgrims Ricardo da Silva, S.J. August 02, 2023 Ahead of World Youth Day, the head of the Jesuits had a candid Q&A with six young pilgrims | America Magazine "But they hearkened not: but were SEDUCED by Manasses, to do evil more than the nations which the Lord destroyed before the children of Israel" 2 Kings 21:9 "9 So Manasses SEDUCED Juda, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to do evil beyond all the nations, which the Lord had destroyed before the face of the children of Israel." 2 Chronicles 33:9 "7 We have been SEDUCED by vanity, and have not kept thy commandments, and ceremonies and judgments, which thou hast commanded thy servant Moses." Nehemiah 1:7 "20 Why art thou SEDUCED, my son, by a strange woman, and art cherished in the bosom of another?" Proverbs 5:20 "8 Who said: Take heed you be not SEDUCED; for many will come in my name, saying, I am he; and the time is at hand: go ye not therefore after them." Luke 21:8 "47 The Pharisees therefore answered them: Are you also SEDUCED?" John 7:47 "11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, SEDUCED me, and by it killed me." Romans 7:11 "33 Be not SEDUCED: Evil communications corrupt good manners." 1 Corinthians 15:33 "3 But I fear lest, as the serpent SEDUCED Eve by his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted, and fall from the simplicity that is in Christ." 2 Corinthians 11:3 "14 And Adam was not SEDUCED; but the woman being seduced, was in the transgression." 1 Timothy 2:14 "14 And he SEDUCED them that dwell on the earth, for the signs, which were given him to do in the sight of the beast, saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make the image of the beast, which had the wound by the sword, and lived." Revelation 13:14 "Head: 1. See Illness, mental 2. The superior general, head of the Society [666]" page 463 The CONstitutions of the Society of Jesus and Their Complimentary Norms "[666] 6. 1On the side of the superior general, what will aid toward this union of hearts are the qualities of his person [G], to be treated in Part IX [723-25], with which he will perform his office, 2which is to be for all the members a head from which the influence required for the end sought by the Society ought to descend to them all. 3It is thus from the general as head that all authority of the provincials should flow, from the provincials that of the local superiors, and from the local superiors that of the individual members. 4And from this same head, or at least by his commission and approval, should likewise come the appointing of missions. And the same should apply to communicating the graces of the Society. 5For the more the subjects are dependent upon their superiors, the better will the love, obedience, and union among them be preserved." The Constitutions of the Society of Jesus and Their Complementary Norms "14We ought to act on the principle that everyone who lives under obedience should let himself be carried and directed by Divine Providence through the agency of the superior 15as if he were a lifeless body, which allows itself to be carried to any place and treated in any way; or an old man s staff, which serves at any place and for any purpose in which the one holding it in his hand wishes to employ it. 16For in this way the obedient man ought joyfully to employ himself in any task in which the superior desires to employ him in aid of the whole body of the religious order; 17and he ought to hold it certain that by so doing he conforms himself with the divine will more than by anything else he could do while following his own will and different judgment.[3]" page 221 The Society of Jesus and Their Complimentary Norms "[Interviewer] Father, what is you and your colleagues' opinion, as to the use of the atomic bomb? 22:07 - We have discussed among ourselves the ethics of the use of the bomb. Some consider it in the same category as poison gas, 22:15 and are against its use on the civilian population. Others are of the view that in total war 22:21 as carried on in Japan, there was no difference between civilians and soldiers, and that the bomb itself was an effective force 22:28 tending to end the bloodshed, warning Japan to surrender, and thus to avoid total destruction. 22:36 It seems logical to me that he who supports total war in principle, cannot complain of a war against civilians. 22:45 The crux of the matter is that a total war in its present form, is justifiable 22:52 even when serves a just purpose. Nothing will have material and spiritual evil 23:00 as its consequences, which far exceed whatever the good that might result. 23:07 Then will our maladies give us a clear answer to this question. - [Narrator] Are constructed of whatever materials"

Nuclear power amazes me. With a respect for the people affected it just shows the pure power of Mother Nature. Something that can’t be seen smelled or felt can release so much force and energy in a split second. The effect and speed of radiation exposure on the human body! Totally smashing to pieces your DNA . A truly but horrific material

To call that a nuclear reactor is a massive falsehood and joke. The entire output of 40 tons of uranium ore was 1/2 watt (claimed maybe even false). The world did not change at all, and never would have. Fermi had no concept of the importance of U235 in low speed fission. In 1940 Peierls & Frisch had written a paper proving the vital need to have U235 to produce a pracitcal atom bomb or critical mass. This was kept secret by the British until 1942 when they revealed it to the US launching the Manhatten project. The entire focus of the Manhatten project was to refine out the rare U235 isatope in order to have fission. I was used in Hanford to produce power and later Plutonium when Ernst Lawrence was able to show it would be a substitute for U235 and be more easily extracted from a nuclear reactor: but you had to have the reactor first using U235 not raw unranium ore. If anything the Fermi Pile Chicgo Pile 1 proved no useful reactor could be made without highly enriched unranium with U235. Basically it was a giant failue particularly considering the mssive cost to produce 1/2 watt. It is simply false to consider it anything but a failure.

Wow... Quit making stuff up. The first nuclear reactors were up and running before U235 enrichment was a technology. There is strong evidence of natural reactors having formed billions of years ago in uranium ore bodies in Africa. The math is very clear. If you get enough natural uranium, many tons, stacked closely together with a moderator to slow down neutrons, you get a working, heat producing, fission reactor... Plus, the neutron activity is such that it breeds plutonium and fissionable isotopes of uranium during the reactor uptime. For the Hanford piles, they all ran on alloy cased natural uranium slugs, the heat produced was dumped into the Columbia River not used for power generation. The natural uranium fuel slugs were exposed to neutrons for a few weeks or months depending on their location in the pile, and they were pushed out of the reactor from the front to the back as fresh fuel was inserted. The exposed (not spent) fuel dropped into a water tank where some of the very hot fission products decayed and it cooled for a week or two; then it was fished out, chopped into pieces and dissolved in nitric acid. The plutonium and uranium are selectively removed chemically, there is no enrichment, this is breeding and reprocessing fuel. The uranium goes back into reactors, or later, into gas enrichment facilities. The plutonium went to bomb production. It turns out that uranium reactor fuel that is left exposed to neutrons for any length of time builds up plutonium 240 which complicates its use in weapons. The Hanford reactors were all natural uranium piles designed and operated for one purpose only: the production of bomb grade plutonium containing strictly limited amounts of P240.

With enough energy even the desert can bloom into flowers, without it even the most fertile land goes untilled.

It makes me sad to think that we're still burning coal instead of embracing the beauty that is nuclear power. The idea that "In 25 years more of our power" would come from fission is a thing of the past ... clean energy is ours and we should all be rushing to take advantage of it.
