Thanks Bart, I will pass on your kind comment to Mike. This is my personal favorite from a five song set we recorded of him. We may do another session with Mike later this Summer as I know he has a few more songs he would like to get out there. Thanks again for taking the time to comment.

@@bartbluemusic No worries at all. My channel content is typically short films I have hatched with friends, and we recently started doing more music videos in hopes of providing some local musicians with non-local exposure. We have a pretty complex video in the works for another local performer, which will likely drop near the end of July. It has lots of moving parts and we are still in the planning stages. Hope you have a wonderful evening.

until your car breaks down ... and u realize the parts are half way across the world . get a tow truck !and then you know its a real "Saab story"
@aricspence9 ай бұрын
Every Saab enthusiast I have ever met has extra parts. *-) But to be fair, the Saab in this video had over 260,000 on the odometer, so with proper care, the engines are bullet proof. It is now even nicer mechanically with a more modern turbo and performance engine rebuild. We intend to do some more videos soon. It really is a fun car to drive and ride in, there is nothing quite like a Saab.

Did they use special cigarettes in the original movie. The smoke they created was just amazingly cool. Or was it all just in the lighting?
@aricspence10 ай бұрын
I think they were standard cigarettes and the smoke was so striking in the original because he had HUGE back light(s) with much higher wattage than what we used. I wish we had used a larger back light for this piece, perhaps in a future exploration.

We had a lot of fun was trying to approximate, the best we could, how pull certain things off. We failed on the eye light a couple times before finally figuring it out. Overall a fun exercise and we are considering cueing up a couple more pieces like this in the near future. Plus, we are hoping to put a few short films in the can this year... we will see how it goes.

@@aricspence Well, I wish you all the best of luck. This is certainly a labour of love and I can already say it will be well received. The Rachael entrance at Tyrell's office has always been on of my favorites in addition to the synth animal market scene and Roy's tears in the rain speech. ( Then there is the interior of Deckard's apartment, but where can you get a unicorn?)

Great composition and color grading! Did you use metabones?
@aricspence2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, this was a fun project. No, I have found that both Viltrox and metabones kill the lens IQ around the frame edges. Some like that look, I do not. If I needed wider, I would have to use one, but there are sharpness tradeoffs.
