Running into people that lived in Phoenix from '85 to 92. I worked at 52nd st Motorola and the year I left, it was closed as the biggest EPA Super fund ckean up site!! Long Wongs is gone. Warsaw Willies on Camelback, Bowman's Deli on Scottsdale Blvd. Metro, Thomas?, Los Arcos, PV malls... Franks A Lot Vienna dogs on the way into sky harbor on 44th. Con tiki Hotel... Lol. Sad.

I get to see plenty of beauty each week when I create drone videos for customers. Although I agree Metrocenter has seen better days, I would just challenge you to not get down on things. Socialism does not work for the United States! : )

In the last 12 years, 11 Malls in the Kansas City area have been Leveled. Malls are nothing but Gang Training Grounds.

People always want to shake their heads and say how awful that the mall is closed. But, they never want to have a frank discussion of why that is. Every mall in this country has failed for the same reasons, and they were all things that could have been avoided. Oh well.

I"m a native now in my 70s and from when I was a kid til now, I've watched almost every mall in this valley being built and now many are leveled. Christown, Thomas Mall, Fiesta Mall, Tri-City Mall, Superstition Springs, Arizona Mills and Tower Plaza. Several are still here and barely hanging on, but most are gone now.

Absolutely. I am planning on doing a weekend trip to film all of Route 66 from East to West (with overnight in Flagstaff) Sep 9 and 10. I want to film each city of historic note on the way to make an entry for Dronefest this year. Submission deadline is Sep 15. : ) So I have to get busy! : )

Nice work. It seemed like such an immense place when I was young. Metro and the loop were famous and infamous at the same time. What a meeting place for so many people over the years. The holidays were jam packed with shoppers. Life seems so very different now. A little disconnected.

I'm glad the state of Arizona is getting rid of all that desert land. It is so ugly. Now they just need to build more housing and shopping centers in that area. Can't wait till they start building apartments and houses on Lake Pleasant.
