What's interesting about the Lisburn layout is depending on the exhibition the ulster model railway club will sometimes call it "Silburn" whenever they want to run British stock on it. It's a pretty cool idea. My heart does swell with joy when I see Irish Stuff on it though; just feels right.
@outaboutnorthernireland96712 жыл бұрын
Many thanks for viewing - yes the name is easily changeable from "Lisburn" to "Silburn” depending on what stock they wish to run. The models of NIR and CIE are really great looking models and really suit the layout!

@@outaboutnorthernireland9671 No problem. Felt like looking it up. Saw it earlier on today at Cultra. It was running as "Silburn" with British Stock :)

@@outaboutnorthernireland9671 do you have any knowledge about the state of the cathedral in 1641?
@outaboutnorthernireland96712 жыл бұрын
Regarding the "state of the building in 1641” I do know that there was a fire which destroyed the building circa.1511 - the Cathedral lists the "organists" as far back as 1634. However I have put your question to the ”Cathedral” and will get back to you when a response is received.

What an amazing job guys. It looks great however, although the air superiority grey was a bit boring, the fact that it was in 43Sqn colours meant a lot to me so its a wee bit of a shame the ‘Fighting Cock’ went. The paint job is amazing. We used to see the Royal Navy Phantoms at Leuchars when they weren’t embarked on the Ark Royal. Hangar 1 at Leuchars is still called the Ark Royal hangar. Would love to see one flying again.

MONCUR007 - Many thanks for viewing "Phantom Unveiling" - yes a lot of work went into the "restoration" of this aircraft and the paint work is amazing! Had also the privilege of seeing these aircraft at Leuchars many times when there on holiday and attending the Air Shows. Great aircraft and one of my favourites, along with the Lightening and Jaguar (which were also based at Leuchars in their day, if my memory serves me correctly?).

Best wishes to all playing and listening. I love the sounds! Banbridge is my old home town. I have many fond memories of the place and the people. I used to regularly visit the town library in the old Technical building where Mrs Foster supplied me with all the crime novels I could carry. I lived at Windsor Terrace, Castlewellan road. I am 67 now and effectively left Banbridge when I was 21 to teach at Newtownbreda High school Belfast.

Hi Tom - many thanks for viewing "Banbridge Accordion Orchestra" - yes, a well organised group of musicians who entertain the public and the residents of Residential Homes etc. Unfortunately, for the past year or so, due to current circumstance, Banbridge Accordion Orchestra has been unable to do so. Similarly, with current restrictions in place, I too have been unable to be "Out and About" as in the past and am relying on video taken some time ago (mostly from holidays in Scotland etc) for my channel - hence the recent “Scottish” flavour to "Out and About"! I am however, indebted to the organiser of "Banbridge Accordion Orchestra" for granting me permission to publish the entire video of their performance in Banbridge. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did recording same! Many thanks.
