I lived in Japan from 1993-2002 when I was a young man. It was a love - hate relationship. I loved the money I was making. I loved dating Japanese women. It's a first world country so no, the women don't need your money and no, they don't need a passport or green card to live in a western country. They're quite happy to stay in Japan. I loved the food. I didn't like the discrimination and restrictions put on foreigners. I didn't like sleeping on the floor in a futon in a tiny apartment the size of a closet back in Canada. The cockroaches were scary, too.

First of all, hats up for giving your honest opinion on the topic and trying to bring more nuance to the subject, although you mention not living here yourself so it might make your statement less “relevant”. If I may give some criticism (also just my opinion): your video is too long for this platform (especially if you hope to grow your channel). Try to be more to the point because I hear a lot of redundancy, especially since the video displayed already explained well enough what you’re talking about so there is not that much added value. I was hoping this video was about a shared experience that might be inspiring/insightful for other “non-white foreigners” in Japan as our experience here is quite particular, but you stayed on very surface level topics. I live right above Osaka city and have none of the mentioned problems, or in manageable amounts. So “Bringing nuance” is fine, but don’t go to the opposite extreme just hating the country for the sake of hating something. Cheers and good luck

Appreciated, I don't have a script my videos so sometimes I say things and don't think. But I was mainly talking about the people who think going to Japan or any other foriegn country because they hate the country they live in now. So they just think going to a different country would be special. But I do apreciate your feedback and I will definitely keep that in mind. And I don't have no experience going to China, or even having any China friends, but I just wanted to react to see how the video is.
