Pope Pius XII placed the writings of Faustina on the Index Librorum Prohibitorum (Index of Forbidden Books) after they were examined and found to contain doctrinal errors. Our Lord does not make doctrinal errors in His appearances. Cardinal Ottaviani, head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith released this statement at the time, “There is no evidence of the supernatural origin of these revelations". Under Pope Pius XI, this statement was released regarding Faustina's writings: "New forms of worship and devotion, often enough ridiculous, usually useless imitations or corruptions of similar ones which are already legitimately established, are in many places, especially in these recent days, being daily multiplied and propagated among the faithful, giving occasion to great astonishment and to bitter aspersion on the part of non-Catholics”. Following are some of the statements from Faustina's diary of what she claims Christ said to her. These are statements Christ would never say, and in error doctrinally. Evidence Faustina's writings do not come from Christ. P. 176: “You are a sweet grape and a chosen cluster. I want others to have a share in the juice that is flowing within you.” P.191: “For your sake I will withhold the hand which punishes; for your sake I will bless the Earth.” P. 247: “And know this, too, my daughter. All creatures, whether they know it or not, and whether they want to or not, always fulfill my will. My daughter, if you wish, I will this instant create a new world, more beautiful than this one, and you will live there for the rest of your life.” P.260: “For many souls will turn back from the gates of Hell and worship my mercy.” P.374: “If they will not adore my mercy, they will perish for all eternity.” P.382: “I desire that my mercy be worshiped.” P.288: “That is why I am uniting myself with you so intimately as with no other creature.” P.400: “I see your love so pure, purer than that of the angels, and all the more so because you keep fighting. For your sake I bless the world.” P.417: “Tell the Superior General to count on you as the most faithful daughter in the Order.” There are many other statements in her writings which inflate her pride. Something Christ does not do. Another sign her writings do not come from God. Further, the painting she commissioned is not Christ. If one compares it with new age images, it is strikingly similar. Every image given to us by Christ of Himself in private revelations always shows His wounds from the crucifixion. This painting from Faustina has no crucifix wounds.
