I used this track to rehearse for a performance at the Shoreline UUC. I was a pleasure to sing with you.

Thank you, Mr. Hornsby-Selvin-- a beautiful song so fully realized and brought forward. Straight--to-the=heart from the heart. I come back to this when life proves to be troubling, as it surely does in some unexpected ways. 🙏

Such a beautiful song I remember from my British childhood and schooldays from famous white women singers of the day, but this is very moving, this particular rendition, from a black singer with all the richness and soul that that encompasses. Very moving, Thank you Mr. Hornsby-Selwyn. It had me in tears for the beautiful articulation of the words, but at an even deeper level, a soul speaking as it does without words but all given to the music. It's a huge refuge and consolation, from the craziness of the present electoral battle we are in, that something this perfect can still happen. Its always been one of my favorite songs, but you have brought fresh meaning to it with the way you sing this, Mr. Hornsby-Selvin. Thank you! Shelagh Cosgrove.

LYRICS: Art thou troubled? Music will calm thee, Art thou weary? Rest shall be thine. Music source of all gladness, Heals thy sadness at her shrine, Music, Music ever divine, Music calleth with voice divine. When the welcome spring is smiling, All the earth with flowers beguiling, After winter's dreary rain, Sweetest music doth attend her, Heavenly harmonies doth lend her, Chanting praises in her train. Art thou troubled? Music will calm thee, Art thou weary? Rest shall be thine. Music, source of all gladness, Heals thy sadness at her shrine, Music ever divine, Music calleth with voice divine. I HOPE YOU LIKE IT :)

I’m going to add my own verse to this: “We will not stop staring, we will not stop staring, we will not stop staring; until there is rhythm in the movement, until my cousins can get along.” My name is Harry, my preferred pronouns are she/them; & my dad has too many cousins on his father side.
