ROFL at double tonguing on bass saxophone. Sounds like a semi engine braking. And for the trolls: I am a saxophonist, I play contemporary music, and there is no law that says either of those obligates you to like this piece. I don't.

@saxaholic I CAN! This doesn't sound good. He doesn't have good tone on bass, the music isn't fun/interesting/enjoyable to listen to, and, worst of all, it's boring. When you try to put stuff like this in the same group as pieces like the Berio Sequenzas or the works of Rosse, Denisov, Noda, or Nodaira, I have a problem with it. Their music is incredible and great to work on; this is junk

@masterkid4u "Consonance is a relative thing (just a nice name for a nice habit). It is a natural enough part of music, but not the whole, or only one. The simplest ratios, often called perfect consonances, have been used so long and so constantly that not only music, but musicians and audiences, have become more or less soft. If they hear anything but doh-me-soh or a near cousin, they have to be carried out on a stretcher." - Charles Ives

@masterkid4u All subjective. You can't say anything doesn't sound good. You can only say something doesn't sound good to YOU. HUGE difference. You also have to think, the French contemporary music scene is completely different that what people in most other places are accustomed to. Bach and Mozart have been written. It's time some new composers are given a chance to make a living. I like the old stuff, but I'm much more fond of the new.

Yes sir! I can be more specific... just because something is complex to read or write doesn't mean it sounds good, music is about sound and feeling, not about noise and pretensious knowledge... Let's put in this terms, Cecil Taylor performed contemporary music and he's a master!! Take a listen to my video response and understand better my point!
