You are very welcome! Just because something is on a budget doesn't mean it has to look inexpensive. That's what I'm trying to do here. Give people options that they can still be proud to give as a gift.

Personally no more than $20 for any of them. I think a good rule of thumb is the cost of your supplies Plus your time. So if you feel like your time is worth $20 an hour and it took you 15 minutes to put the basket together then you would charge $5 for your time plus the cost of your supplies. That's just kinda what I would go by. But also think that depends on your market and where you live. Because in some areas you could probably get away with maybe charging 25 for the fuller baskets. The thing you are banking on when selling Dollar Tree gift baskets is A. Convenience and time saving for the customer because all of it is put together for them. And B. Not everyone knows how awesome the stuff they sell at Dollar Tree is or doesn't frequently shop a Dollar Tree. I hope this helps

@@frightfullyfrugal Oh my goodness. so you would only make $5.00 for the basket? I feel with all the time it takes to shop and gas and your time, that you would make a lot more than that on a basket. You just talked me out of making gift baskets. LOL, but your basket ideas are great, and you did a wonderful job!

I'm sorry if I took about idea away from you or discouraged you in some way but I am glad if I saved you the time and trouble if it wasn't going to be the kind of profit you were looking for. I think the more name brand items you're able to get lucky and run into a Dollar Tree the more you could charge for the gift basket but because some of these items are not name brand products, and they're off brand products, that would affect how much people would pay for it. I definitely think you should only do a project that you're going to make the kind of money you feel like is worth your time. A lot of Dollar Tree Crafters find that it's a better investment of their time and money because they can buy a lot of the supplies in bulk and they may only use a few of each item from the bulk purchase to make each craft.

You shouldn’t be discouraged, I have watched many other KZbinrs ( you might want to do a search) that sell baskets for years. They do it for all seasons. They definitely do not charge $20 I am shocked they charge $60 & up. They sell! They will even take you where they sell them all live. Very encouraging: I have a very good eye at coordinating and I want to give this a try as well. I say to you “ Go for it!”
