Just discovered your video. Thanks for sharing. I'm trying to do the same thing with my GT DD Pro rim. For now I have my phone mounted to the wheel with velcro wrap. It works, but your solution looks a bit more elegant. Would you mind explaining in detail how it's setup? Thanks!

In Adelaide we had the Adelaide Clipsal We use to sit half way down the straight and when they hit I think it mite of been 4/5 gesr the bang you got from the car was amazing you would literally feel it inside your body ! 😍😍😍 And it wasn’t just one. It was like 25+ cars doing maybe 180 ks but had to slow down for the worse corner that has taken out even the best of drivers Too bad the V8 Supercars will be no more soon 😓😥 And they will see the rating will drop. Or do they have too many American fans now that’s why there are American cars and not aussie made cars in this race anymore Always about the money with everything now AFL footy now V8s. Makes me very mad and sick 🤬

Hi, I bought this video card a few years ago, just to use it with rFactor (not2) to the fullest. Once installed, and thanks to the suggestions in a forum by some other sim racers, who suggested me to install envy inspector and helped me with the related parameters, my experience improves considerably. Then over time, perhaps due to the updates, I lost FPS. I used FRAPS to record the replays, which as we know is very heavy but I was traveling quietly on 90, now I'm on 30fps. so I deleted it and use shadow from Nvidia. I now travel at 60 fps during replays. But I would like to know which best settings to improve the graphic aspect of rfactor with this card do you recommend?

Fanatec should give these for free to fix their defective product. I'll never get another Fanatec Wheel/pedal set. I bought the Porsche 911 Carrera set a long time ago and at the time it was a lot of bang for the buck but it had this problem early on. I'm still using it and it's fine otherwise but the other major problem with it is that it was abandoned by Fanatec very quickly and forgotten so that modern sims don't properly recognize what it is.
@Dethmeister6 жыл бұрын
Does he still sell this? I've had a problem with mine for years but not as bad as this. My problem is just with the brake pedal. In the calibration menu the brake pedal will flutter every time I press another pedal or just touch the unit. I have to pump it a bunch of times to get it to stop. Then I have to restart the calibration program over again and it will calibrate properly. But after racing for awhile, I can see in Assetto Corsa's pedals graphic that the brake pedal is doing it again and even worse it only registers like 80% with it floored. Then I have to shut down Assetto Corsa to recalibrate the pedal again, it won't accept the recalibration if the game is still running in the background. Very annoying.

Will this card be capable to get 144hz on a single screen 1920x1080? Specially for iracing and rfactor 2. What do you think?
@onegraham7 жыл бұрын
Depends on the settings, with maxxed out settings I was getting around 90fps I think.

what are the oil bottles for exactly
@--Justin--9 жыл бұрын
Ahmad Al-Ajeel Like on a motorcycle fork, when you push down the pedal the oil is forced through a valve (small hole). The faster you try to push the pedal down, the more the oil resists. The bottle is simply the reservoir for the oil to sit in when the pedal is in the compressed state.
@AhmadAlAjeel9 жыл бұрын
Got Integrity? Thanks for the explanation. Yeah i ordered and recived the clubsport pedals v2, but i only got one oil bottle? Is this ok? Or am i missing one? How come in the video theres 2.

Nice Video, very helpful, but why does the iRacing graphic settings page (at 19:40) only show 2048MB of GPU Ram inspite the fact that the GTX980 has 4GB??
@Seahawks2Fan10 жыл бұрын
I've got an i5-2500k and the Asus Maximus GeneZ/Gen3 motherboard. I am curious if my processor is bottlenecking my system as it only supports PCI-E 2.0. I wonder if I upgrade to an Ivy Bridge like the i7-3770K if that would make any difference (that processor will support PCI-E 3.0). I just checked pricing and even though that processor is over 2 years old, it's still going for around $330 USD. OUCH!
@oftankoftan10 жыл бұрын
it's a semantic argument. a better cpu will always give you higher framerates (depending on the title). Is it "bottlenecking"? Well no. Not if you view CPUs as something that will unleash your GPU to give it maximal performance. A better CPU will always be higher framerate, so there's no magical bottleneck-bar that you have to pass.
@pharohbender9 жыл бұрын
what about a 4790k ? newer and could net you some extra fps, looks good for the cpu to be pushing that much we had the 680gtx 2gb triple screen with 8350 vs 4770 nearly same fps just min fps was higher on the intel.
@AK-yc1uu10 жыл бұрын
what app is that on the phone?
@Seahawks2Fan10 жыл бұрын
I use iHUD for rFactor. It's also available for Iracing. It's a little spendy because you have to buy some of the extras, but definitely has plenty of options.

For R3E, Portimao is one of the toughest tracks in terms of performance. Also, you should turn off Shadow Split, thats a performance killer on my system at least.

Thanks - I'll give that a try.

Gone Broke Racing Shadowsplit on with 32 contact shadows and FXAA OFF, does nothing but eating fps
@Xav1ez10 жыл бұрын
+gone broke racing looks like it's Fraps you're using to show FPS? Are you sure you have disabled the 60fps limit in Fraps? That might be why it never goes over. :)
@Seahawks2Fan10 жыл бұрын
It wasn't Fraps as I was just using it to measure FPS. I found out that rF2 by default sets max framerate to 60 in the player.json file. I went in and changed it and that solved the issue.

If you turn the reflections completely off your frame rates will go way way up. Give that a try and see what you get. I am interested to know myself. EDIT: In Assetto Corsa..
@Seahawks2Fan10 жыл бұрын
I'll give that a try when I get a chance and report back. Getting lots of requests, so will see if this old brain can remember them all. :)
@Seahawks2Fan10 жыл бұрын
Just tried it with reflections off in AC and my fps was at 90-92 at the start, so about a 15 fps improvement. The paint looks really flat though on all of the vehicles, but would definitely be a good option to turn off for those struggling to get decent frames.
@doctharock_10 жыл бұрын

At 5:44 it looks like you can see through the opponents car that is in front of you. What's up with that? So you'd recommend the EGT series, eh?
@Seahawks2Fan10 жыл бұрын
It's an rF2 glitch that occurs occasionally. Apparently I was the only one that could see through that particular car for that particular race. Raced against the same guy the following race and it looked fine. I would highly recommend the URD EGT mod. Top notch.

Nice! Hey, why do you use your clutch when rFactor doesn't simulate it? Does it help in some way, or are you just keeping it real(istic)?

That was great! Always love to see videos of races instead of the usual hot lap or "testing". Were you allowed any assists like ABS, traction or stability control? As a newbie, I'd be pretty much dead after the first bend without those.
@Seahawks2Fan10 жыл бұрын
I think CMS only allows TCS and auto clutch. I was using low TCS, but guys can go up to high if they want. I don't recall if they allow ABS, but these cars stop pretty well without it. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed!

Short, Simple, Informative.. That's about all you can ask for in a review, thanks so much! Seriously thinking about going fanatec (Even though I like the look of the thrustmaster 500rs alot) from my logitech wheel soon, Their prices have fallen alot. From standard g27 pedals, Would the v1 pedals seem to be a upgrade? Trying to figure out what the price is justified for.. Is it better pedal preformance? I know the load cell is self explanitory, But I could nixim mod my g27 pedals, Is the longer throw better for preformance as well? As I have noticed it's quite difficult to have percision and consistancy on the g27's pedals. Or should I say screw it, and grab a 911 rs v3 wheel and hang onto the pedals for a while longer. And last question, does the wheels from fanatec have clamps already on them, or is it nessesary to buy the table clamp to secure it down like a g27 to a desk Thanks for any input on this stuff, I know it was alot, I'll pitch ya some rotten tomatos if you need to hit me after you awnser.
