Good review, I agree with pretty well everything you said. My set had no mini-figs, so I’m guessing you supplied your own driver for the carriage? I have a fairly large Lego city I’ve been working on for 8 years now, as my retirement project. For me, Lego have priced themselves out of my ability to continue using their sets. Just way overpriced and the piece counts and amount of stickers is ridiculous. Lego seems to be relying on Friends sets and dollhouse style half sets with very little effort at style or authenticity. Long story short, YES!!! We've known this since MegaBlox, the cheap building block brands at Toys R Us and Cobi. Lepin, MAX and Ali Express were game changers.

Hey man mega is not fske lego as someone whos always been under tje impression that lego was way better then mega i recently got into t he halo sets and i gotta say its on scale and sometimes even better then lego especially in the builds being alot bigger instead of shrinking like legos sets

I use the Dispiae joint strengthening pen (usually found on aliexpress) while building gunpla on the pieces that have trouble staying in place, works like a charm on these kind of brick building sets too. I've been building this unicorn with my daughter and we've used it a few times so far, makes it so much easier to place the vegetation so it won't fall over. The pieces can still be moved if needed, they're just stickier to hold tighter

Thank you! I want to do more MOC building as it's something that I really enjoy doing. I've gotten a bit away from it just as reviews are a bit easier to do, but I'm going to try and mix a few more MOCs in. The Black Falcons are from Bricks and Pieces on LEGO. The rest are just assorted LEGO castle themed figures that I've collected over the years.

This is a ridiculous bargain for what they're charging. It's huge, the bricks are as good as Lego, and it's got so much detail inside. And other than the one silly sticker for the awning, which I left off, it's all prints instead of the whole sticker sheet you'd get with Lego.

It’s so good! I couldn’t believe how awesome it was. My only complaint is that there aren’t more modular buildings from pantasy to buy! The sticker was annoying, but a minor issue for how good the set was.

@@JoshtheBrickworm Their newer sets are amazing. Great designs, excellent bricks and manuals, lights... If you're looking to do modern-day modulars, they have a record store, theater, skate shop, book shop/cafe, antique store... And then they have a bunch of other themes.

The Carpenters van and newsstand are both really nice and both under $40, I’ve built both and love them. Theres even a Christmas version of the newsstand out now too.

Probably easier to just buy the legit set and get all the printed parts, unless you have all 3,000 pieces lying around in your inventory. You can usually get it for around $80.

Also struggled a lot placing it and it was frustrating. It looks very outbalanced and as it would collapse soon. Hatet how already placed pieces are in the way were later steps would go. Looks like it was designed digitally without real world gravity or warning of pieces intersecting each other and it was too late to change it after test builds.

I was pretty intrigued when it arrived and I saw the box art. I was wondering how it would be structurally support with how large it looked. It's a shame that it doesn't stand easily. That's a major flaw that ruins one of the best looking sets that I've seen in a long time.

Fair point, I was improving the design LEGO made aesthetically though, not taking function into consideration. If you really wanted to make it more realistic, you could remove the blade and have the hilt only!

Hi there, I hate to be the bad guy, but being a LEGO youtuber, I noticed immediately that the modular is NOT official LEGO. You can tell because lego puts their name on all studs, this one doesn't have them. Don't get me wrong it's a great modular and I'm even considering it....Just be carful buying "non-Lego" because some are rip offs (they break easily, etc).

The only way to tell the difference is looking for Lego branding on the studs of the bricks and nobody in real life is looking that close, or cares. Pantasy is a well-known brand with fantastic quality very comparable to Lego. There are many reviews from multiple years on KZbin and Amazon for their sets, and I’ve never seen anyone ever accuse them of being low quality, brittle, breakable, or having any problems that a normal Lego set would not. Seriously, the only people that care about a missing logo, are the people who care about brand more than the actual final product, which seems silly to me.

@@MariW736 Agreed! There is a slight drop in performance, but not significant enough to justify the cost difference between PANTASY and LEGO. And LEGO is far from perfect. People seem to forget about Brittle Brown and Dark Red. I've snapped more official LEGO pieces then any alternative brand. PANTASY makes a great product and it's LEGO compatible, fantastic quality, excellent customer service, and at a good price point. The only downside is they usually don't include minifigures in their sets, and when they do, I'm not the biggest fan of them. There are a lot of LEGO purists that deny the quality based off of sheer blind loyalty to LEGO.

@ agreed on all points. It would be one thing if they were just one of the ripoff companies that duplicated Lego designs, but the fact that they can deliver such good quality with their own creations and unique designs, really drives the difference home. And I’m personally very happy with the fact that they aren’t just stealing Legos unique mini figure design. I can save my money buying these fantastic pantasy sets, and then add some genuine mini figures to set the scene, and it all looks amazing on my shelf at the end of the day 🥰🥰

I have the Boba Fett mech and the retired wolverine mech. The Luke, Vader, and Strom Trooper are just to plain in color for me (these characters Id rather just have the minifigures). I do recommend getting a mech to anyone. They are fun to build and to put on display. Also one of the biggest positives to a mech is they are affordable. Great video im new to lego as an adult never had Lego growing up so I would love to see the exo force stuff!

Luke's mech is definitely not super colorful, but it's very true to the X-Wing Color scheme which I love! It's got that classic Star wars feel to me! Mechs have never been my speciality, but I really love EXO-Force! If their is some demand to see some exo-force content, perhaps I'll dabble in a moc!

@@M14KNM Your argument is logically flawed here. I could buy the Lysol brand or I can buy Walmart Great Value All Purpose cleaner. Walmart's brand isn't claiming to be Lysol but it uses the same active ingredients and performs a similar function. Same with third party car part replacements. I replaced the mirror on my car with an aftermarket mirror. It wasn't claiming to be Honda brand, but it's compatible with Honda's. As with any alternative brand, there will be differences but they are meant to be a substitute or compatible with the original product. No one is claiming that Pantasy is LEGO, but it is an alternative to LEGO and a very decent one at that.

There are definitely more cost effective ways to purchase some figures. In this case, they are ABS exclusive, so you can't. The price is higher but you don't have to pay international shipping fees if you're in the US and it's nice to have the US based customer service as well.

I think it's more poor color correcting on my end. I've been experimenting with my lighting, but struggling to find the right option. I'm using my phone and don't have the capital to invest in a camera yet, but it's something I eventually want to do!
