Good video 👍 I think those pliers are crap, just use a flat had and crack the old cartridge.

Got one of these and it point blank will not control my Viessman 100. Only way to switch it on is through the ViCare app. Showing as binded but still won't work.

Great video. So you say to insert the chemical and leave the rads running for an hour to circulate it around. We then drain off the system to get rid of that slugey water. We then put the inhibitor in - do we drain this or leave it in there to circulate? Thanks buddy
@flushman
@flushman 7 ай бұрын
Hello 👋🏼 Leave the inhibitor in the system. This prevents any further corrosion. It prevents the system of corroding from inside out and therefore prevents build up of sludge. Hope this helps :)

question: what happens if you power flush but you have no open drain outside? my drains are sealed under the ground. some people have said they put the contents straight onto your garden which i think is bad idea if you are putting corrosive elements onto soil( is it even permissible to to do that !) also is a power flush more suitable if you believe your system has never had a power flush( mine is at least 14 years old and came with the property) thanks

Leave it alone.Is your system ok? Radiators hot don't worry.

Thanks for the guide, Just had this one fitted to a new combi boiler, in the morning the boiler is told to come on but if the it only needs to make up 2 degrees from room temp of 19 and stat set to 21 will the boiler slowly heat up the radiators so to prevent over shoot. I ask this because the rads never got hot.
@peterc.1618
@peterc.1618 24 күн бұрын
I think it depends on the boiler. My Vaillant has something called Comfort Mode which heats the radiators up slowly (and cools them down slowly when the heating goes off). I think that mode can be turned off via the settings on the boiler itself. Don't forget that when you pick up the remote control to change the temperature or programme it, the heat from your hands will increase the temperature on the display by at least one degree (when I reprogrammed mine for the first time it went up from 20 to 24 degrees!). Therefore if yours was at 19 when you picked it up to 'fiddle with it', it might have reached 21 by the time you put it down and the heating wouldn't come on until the temperature drops below 21 again.

Thank you, that was really helpful. I’ve heard of a power flush, but not a chemical flush. How easy are power flush machines to use. I believe you can hire them? I ask because I was I was quoted £850 plus VAT for a power flush (3 bedroom house with 13 radiators)

My partner has just had under floor heating fitted downstairs under floor and rads mainly upstairs. He’s had a new boiler fitted and they didn’t mention that they’d cleaned the system first. Is this bad practice? The system has never been cleaned in 15 years. Could this damage his new boiler? I had a new boiler fitted and knew I needed a power flush. Old system, problems with my old boiler. The builder in charge has said it nonsense he didn’t need a flush and it’s an unnecessary procedure which is used by heating engineers to get more money out of people. Please advise. Thanks
