The Shriners have permanently ruined the Myers Manx for me. But a Baja Bug with the beam axel swapped for long travel A Arms, now you got something!

Grew up camping in ocitillo we all had a vw buggy sand rail or bug great memories that sound man and so much fun and laughter my uncle Glen would say a vw motor is simple u know if it’s running right just by the sound . I honestly would probably be willing to trade my of road ranger for a nice bug

It would’ve been nice to see some of the historic vehicles at the Chenowth museum in San Felipè, lots of cool race cars there

Great movie, but KZbin ruins it with all the ads (practically every 10 minutes)... I would've gladly paid to watch this, had it been available somewhere else.

I rooster tailed mine across Bondi Beaxh & back one night. Had to rip home & spray can it a different colour so the cops wouldn't catch me. Snow in the mountains through rivers and deserts it always made it home, with a few colour changes along the way.

Great work on a great story! My first four cars were Baja Bugs, followed by a Baja Squareback... I graduated from skateboards and BMX to Bajas when I was just a kid. I learned so much about VWs and cars and engineering in general from all the stuff I broke and fixed on those Bajas. I'm still a builder and tinkerer today at 57 from those experiences. Terrific work on this movie, you captured so much of the scene in your piece... Bravo!! 💪❤️👍

Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’ve skated all my life and still do. You can see a little bit of skate influence in some of the shots if you look closely 🤙

As a life long Baja bug lover I was a little disappointed that they spent so much time on class 11 racing. It seems that following class 5 1600 teams would have been more in line with the name of the movie.

Too much about Baja and not enough history of the Baja Bug, and Jesse James is Not! A Volkswagen guy, he drives hunched over like a hot rod guy, Real VW guys are very laid back 🤔

A friend and I are having a debate. Is a class 11 a Baja bug? I say yes and he says no. Anyone want to weigh in on this?
@TheBajaBugMovie4 ай бұрын
Class 11 is the original Baja bug essentially. The first bugs raced in Baja during the 67 Mexican 1000 were essentially stock bugs, akin to class 11. While class 11 didn’t technically start until the 70’s with Mickey Thompson and Pepe Rodriguez. They are most certainly Baja bugs.
