I have a 2 yr old 13 lb female gray tabby. Her name is Shadow as she follows me everywhere. Shadow is an indoor cat as we have urban coyotes around here. She has a plush bed. At times she suckles on the plush part and moves her paws like she’s suckling.

Three weeks ago I had to say good-bye to my beautiful cat Lucy, who shared my life for 17 years. I am heartbroken. I had her euthanized, but now I think I jumped the gun. Lucy hadn't eaten for days, hadn't drank any water and hadn't used her litter box for days. She just seemed to sleep all the time, probably more than 20 hours a day. Her last day, January 6th, she hadn't used the litter box in 14 hours. Lucy just wasn't the Lucy I had grown to love over 17 years. I still don't know if I did the right thing.

I’m gone 10 hours a day for four days a week. My fur baby escorts me to my car and puts her pheromones on my car door when I get in. Then when i close the door and start the engine she sprints to the porch of my shed next to the car and watches me leave. She sleeps on the top of the sofa and greets me as I come back home in the wee hours of the morning and I give her treats.

If I ignore my Feline Babe she will harass me for attention. If I try to cuddle, she won't have it. She is such meanie❤ She rubs herself on me, wakes me up in the morning, gives me bonks and smooches, but not a cuddler 😢

My cat doesn't really like to cuddle but, he shows affection in other ways. You just have to accept cats the way they are and, not try to change them.

I think I have a strong relationship with my Cat Oreo

My cat is very inventive as far as play goes, she has made up and shown me several games, she's also very good at letting me know which she wants to play. She's excellent at getting me to do what she wants, opening doors, handing over treats, cleaning her litter box, getting up and following her, she has essentially trained me. She's also very good at recognising words, at least words that interest her like food, snacks, toys, play etc.

I just got a new kitten that was born outside in June. He used to bite me and wasn't very friendly when I first got him. I just let him have his space and a place to calm down. He's started to adjust to being here and, has calmed down more. He's still feisty and bites sometimes but, we're starting to get along great together. I think you give them patience and respect they'll learn to trust and respect you.

Both of my girls are brilliant, in different ways of course. They get it honestly; our household has always encouraged intelligence and problem solving from human to kitty children. Simone opens and closes doors and tells me when she wants to play, but Natsumi is a socially intelligent and talkative little girl. Simone is a major introvert though; she really only wants to interact with me since she knows me best and we have a complicated history.

I changed my kitty's name from John "Muggsy" McGraw to Muggsi Blanche McGraw after I found out at the vet that kitty's a girl and it only took her a few days to answer to "Muggsi Blanche" tho' sometimes we still just say "Muggsi." She's learned what "No Ma'am" means tho' sometimes I have to repeat that to get her off the kitchen table, and what "Good girl!" means and I say "Good girl!" when she's also where she's supposed to be as well as when she leaves someplace she isn't supposed to be, after hearing "No Ma'am" :). When she's in the kitchen and I need to open the door into the utility room to get something, before closing it I say "Good girl!" and usually she says where she's at and I tell her "Good girl!" when I'm back in the kitchen, after having closed the utility room door again.

Life without cats would be a catastrophe 🐈
