I remember talking to someone about this song. I can't recall who the person was but that is neither here nor there. The point is that the person said that they wished that Eddie had been able to record the song the way he described it here in the monologue he gives at the end. I always felt that this was the best way to perform this song. It was wonderful hearing Eddie talk about what he was planning for this piece. But I'm glad that this is what he left us.
