It truly is a testament to just what unbelievable performers they were back in their prime that I just watched and listened to this in absolute potato quality from start to finish with zero breaks with no end to my excitement. Thank you so much for posting this. It's easy enough to claim a band is great if you post a 4k restored video with the best editing possible...but it's this 1:47:35 long marathon that is the true test imo and one that Depeche Mode passes with flying colors.

their last shows in Japan were far from sold out and the crowds were horrible, as I read somewhere

24 years, somewhat reliving the experience, since I attended this concert at Festhalle Frankfurt, and two more were to follow from DM. My first concert with DM and one of my most memorable concerts to this day. After Alan Wilder left, I gradually parted with DM as well since I loved the industrial sound, not so much the way they progressed into as yet another rock band with guitar rifts.
