Have you considered a grad filter to darken the sky?

Hi Paul good to hear from you. Yes I have thought about purchasing so grad filters. I was of the opinion that if I allowed the histogram not to max out on the right hand side I may be able to apply the grad effect in lightroom. But recently I’ve wanted a little more ‘mood’ shall we say, in the sky, and some grad filters would have come in very handy!! I’ve added them to my Christmas list!!!!! 😊👍

Considering you were struggling so much finding the compositions, you smashed the compositions haha! Beautiful photos!! Stunning location. Great music choice too. And you’re not a spoon 😂 but I get the frustration of making what you have in your head a reality. If you feel you didn’t achieve it on the day, I hope you do now because these were fantastic 🎉

Hi Daniel good to hear from you. No I wouldn’t class them as long exposure images. The image information is in the gallery at the end of the video. I think the longest exposure was 1/4sec! Thanks for the comment 👍👍

For music I normally use epidemic sound, but I think in this film there are one or two tracks from audiio . If there’s a particular track you like I can try and point you to the original download site if that helps! 👍👍

Hi Stig yes its a very nice location. The Pulpit itself was a few hundred yards further upriver, and better accessed from the first, very steep pathway, which i didnt even try to attempt on this occassion as it was rather steep and also very busy as its rather popular! well worth the visit if you ever get the chance

Hi Malcolm such a beautiful part of the world you live in too, live it. Yeah the camera is abit temperamental when it comes to moisture, can’t even sneeze near it or it kicks off! Haha it’s just the hotshot cap, when moisture gets in the camera thinks you’re trying to connect something it doesn’t recognise! 👍

You certainly have put something together. Some great images from a roadside stop. I've driven that road a few times as my other half is from Aberdeen and have spend some time travelling Scotland, but never stopped to take it all in. Next time I will.

I thought I’d made a wrong decision heading north as there was no snow until about a mile away. I was relieved to see these mountains in the distance as I crested a hill and saw them all snow capped! @@SimonJerromes the names refer to the road. It used to be the Devil's Elbow and you can still see the old bit of road where buses/coaches would get stuck. Colloquially, it became known as Satan's Slide after the road was straightened - you can imagine why! - though the OS map still uses the old name.

Hi Derek yes you are quite correct, on this visit it was alittle difficult to get down to the actual pulpit due to condition and amount of people enjoying a day out down there. Plans have been made to return better equipped. I included the devils pulpit name in the title thumbnail to identify the area as I felt Finnich Glenn might get a little lost as it’s not as well known. But I did use the name in the main title. Bloody brilliant!! Great mix of photography of the landscape as well as telling a story. Could see new use of editing and sounds which must have been such hard work and you absolutely smashed it :) bet the girls loved getting involved in that.
