I like to think of Bauss playstyle as lategame focused. He has mastered the art of getting waves, cs, and gold no matter the match up or team comp. If you watch his games he is often feeding the most kills, but has more gold and dmg than any player on his team. For example the scrims against VLT he played yesterday the last game he had 20k gold and the most dmg even over Nemesis who was smurfing it. Which leads me to believe the runes and playstyle of Bauss is essentially playing to scale and play a champ at a higher maxium output vs conventional lane runes and playing off of leads over your opponent. Bauss Is a ticking time bomb and will run your team over with all the scaling he takes. He even skips the doran items as a way to get his scaling faster since he doesn't play to win lane. It may not be better to die for waves and feed the enemy but in a way it is way more consistent than trying to ego and beat your opponent in lane. Bauss always ends up with more gold and lvl exp and items. Yeah he feeds the enemy 1k gold first 15 mins but he overtakes them with towers, plates and never missing cs. Its interesting to think of it in terms of is it more consistent? Is the scaling output worth the enemy top/jg being up some gold/exp?
