Is this the culvert that has now completely let go? Someone said it was reported in June.

I understand why you would've missed this car. I've only driven an S2K once in my life, and - well, people can call it slow all they want, but driving one is a unique experience for sure. And they aren't as slow as people make them out to be. My uncle had one way back, we did a bit of roll racing once, I was in a JZX90 Toyota Chaser Tourer V (exhaust/intake/intercooler, stock boost, used to run high 13's in the 1/4 mile). His S2K was stock, but he stuck really close behind me (I was ahead by 1.5-2 car lengths maybe).

You tricked me into thinking you were gonna rev all the way to 9000rpm, you feind >:(

nah people like to baby these cars even though they aren't that fast and the handling is nothing special
@graceann3354 ай бұрын
@@_1_9I own a 718 Spyder RS and a stock 04 S2000. The S2K is more fun. The handling is just as good as the 718 on stock suspension. They have very different performance profiles but that is an irrelevance. The drive experience of the S2K equals the 718. And the majority of S2K owners do anything but ‘baby’ them; much more than other cars, the S2000 calls on the driver to push hard. I suspect you don’t know what you are taking about.
@_1_94 ай бұрын
@@graceann335 im sure its a great and fun car. for performance...for the price of an s2k, you can do a lot better with a different chassis (with an actual roof). looking at the market, the price seems rather inflated by speculators and casual enthusiasts naively coddling them.
@graceann3354 ай бұрын
@@_1_9 the x-frame chassis has negated fragility normally associated with lack of an upper structure. A well maintained s2k with over 100k miles equals chassis rigidity of say….an equivalent mileage Lotus Elise….for much less money…and outperforms same on track despite significantly higher weight. You have to look at much newer and more expensive cars to get an overall superior package. This is because NA engine and chassis design peaked at Honda, relatively speaking, around the time of the S2000.

Hi what will be the problem if your mini cooper runs well but only on a hill it struggles to take off,you have to over rev the engine

Its doesnt matter if you think his car is slow as long as he is happy. A real car enthusiasts dont talk trash about other peoples cars. He has done all this work and even if its small results im sure he is happy because it was his ideas and hardwork.

They are woefully slow though. The standard cooper s yeah fair enough, but the JCW do not feel like 200+ HP cars. They feel slow

Thanks mate! Just brilliant, almost replaced the drive chain when it was only this loose sensor👍 the difference is night and day on high refs but also with low refs in low speeds corners. The supercharger also popped back to life. Brilliant

I said sensor, it’s not a sensor, actually it’s a vacuum tube for the fuel regulator. Just thought I mentioned it. Anyway it fixed my problem

For anyone else finding this vid.. I had the same issue on mine (1st gen gpr tensioner) and it eventually snapped at the upper end of the arm where the bolt that comes off the supercharger. Now I'm having troubles with this new 2nd gen one. If it breaks again I'll be getting something fabbed locally.

Why does the R53 JCW have a vacuum pipe connected to the airbox but the standard Cooper S does not? I know there is a intake flap on the JCW airbox but that seems to be electrically operated.

@Nick English... would you say the "Scorpion exhaust manifold" radically increased the (NVH) Noise, vibration and harshness of the car? I'm thinking about upgrading to one (Scorpion exhaust manifold) but I'm scared it will make the care to noisy and drone on the highway. It's my daily so I want it nice an quiet.

Yes, in order to connect the gray hose, you first need to pull the red lock, within it it has a second, approximately 1/4 you hold it and insert the gray hose into the lock and insert it in the same way to remove it, you take out the red lock first and then remove the gray hose
@theforestlizard22310 ай бұрын
so you have to remove the red part first then remove the hose ?
