I still remember my first time healing through these dungeons as WHM. Arum Vale got me all sweating, The Volt (man I almost quit healing). But I pick up the pieces, put myself together and sleep on the fight. Think of my tooltips even walking on the road. But you did great there, I mean this is video was 5 years ago but still.

You didn't do too bad just remember that no mp cost heals and regens are your best friend. Sometimes people will die and it's not your fault like if they fail a mechanic. Just swift cast and raise them once it's safe to. Don't be afraid to heal yourself first either. If someone dies you can raise them if you die that means no more heals for the party.

.. you're in the wrong stance should have swapped to diurnal so u get heal over time nocturnal only good for mob (shielding) pull not for boss fight.

PLD main here. It's common knowledge that the vault is a horrendously difficult dungeon to heal on. This is the only dungeon that I use Clemency on. Not out of disrespect for the healer, but bc I have it at my disposal and I'm not at a high enough level to make use of any other spells. The Pally was in the wrong tho. I thought you did great.

This boss gave me such a hard time while leveling my scholar (1st character) and having crappy gear. The dps output was usually low and everyone kept getting hit. I had several failed groups, but damn did this do a number on my confidence to heal in this game early on.

I play astro, and got this video recommended in 2021 😅🤣 not the cleanest kill, but still a kill! As for healing mate. Unfortunately healer jobs in FF are more complex than any other mmo. They can do some powerful DPS, and in end game content they are required to do so + healing the party. Hence why I love them so much 🤣🤣🤣

i remember first time as healer in this one, we ran out of time, i played scholar and i was just not providong sifficient enough heals amd dps kept dying cuz i was concrntrating on keeping the tank amd myself alive. It helped to make sure you have the highest gear availabke to your level. After i did that healing became way easier. Yes, it really dod take me that lomg to figure that out -_-. now i am a mediocre scholar healer

That tank tsk tsk what a coward. Yall downed the boss and cleared the dungeon. DPS got hit with avoidable damage so did the tank. When they fail it makes it harder for the healer to keep up.

Yay youtube algorythm showing me this in 2021. BUT I really hope you're still healing. You were not bad, THAT FIGHT SUCKED FOR HEALERS and I could tell you weren't comfortable with your kit yet. Instead of that tank saying " you shouldn't heal" he could have given you some constructive feedback. I yell and curse while playing irl when I see bad healers and tanks. But in game, I offer advice on how to do things a bit better. Encourage those that struggle instead of telling to give up... UGH ANYWAY I hope you're still healing and I just know you're improved :)

I only know the jobs since shadowbringers so I don't know if my assessments would even be correct regarding the use of some skills, but that you managed to prevent a wipe even when you were struggling so hard is impressive in and of itself in my opinion. I also let DPS die in that fight sometimes, simply because dodging>casting heals but that's what I have Swift & Ascend for

If you screw up that bad and can't take that the smallest criticism. Then maybe you shouldn't play with other people. Not saying this guy did. But the people reacting to this like that guy was way out of line need to get a reality check. It be one thing if he cussed him out. But flaming one of your team mates after they royally mess up like that. Is part of the experience

Solid tank right there... I always feel like people that do this kind of sht, were bullied when they started and now that they have a little clue they share the pain from the past to the new players. Remember your roots ahole!

Just takes practice and actual useful advice instead of just give it up. That fight can go so wrong but the biggest thing is you weren't using all the tools in your toolkit. I know this is forever ago but I wanted to chime in with my 2 cents

Healing seems difficult on controller, my friend who is a lvl 80 bard main is new to healing and tried out WHM. Through the discord call he seemed distressed while doing Aurum Vale and unable to keep everyone alive. I ran an ARR dungeon to see his problem and turns out its the controller making it hard for him to select who to heal and always miss inputting.

The dps got themselves killed. When you fall behind in healing on this one fight it becomes a game of catch up. I mean everyone did something silly. But end of the day it was a win so who cares. Healing with a gamepad is rough as well. Ive tried using a gamepad but targetting is super awkward.
