I’m 28 and I just finished getting my posts out in today. I’m so scared cause I’m more comfortable without my dentures in and I want my dentures to be comfortable when they snap in. How was your experience?

I just came after seeing the dr kenny video And I must say its hard to even imagine what you would have gone through and its so inspiring to see how strong you are I mean you really are a strong person Also your teeth are beautiful and strong like you Cya ✨🌹

I’m in similar situation iv got cancer and it’s weakened all my teeth I only had braces in 2018 for 2.5 years I also lost a weight to 9 1/2 stone and for once in my life didn’t feel ashamed and looked the best I ever had as was never really pretty but was so happy i could finally smile without teeth I hated as all wonky but within 6 months was diagnosed with cancer everything changed 😢 I kept loosing weight at first didn’t think to much but now I’m barely 6 stone well under half what I was when felt overweight… and my teeth kept getting abbesses then where they have been the tooth above just gets loose iv currently now only got my front top 6 teeth with a wire behind yet can’t bite anything with those teeth there too weak and the gum lines moved a lot, and the haven’t given me any teeth to fill the missing top ones the bottom ones iv a few back ones between both sides and a wisdom tooth but then again only about 8 at the front that iv had to buy micron superior and micron lutting compound to basically glue all the front ones to each other as the 5 middle are so loose the will just fall out otherwise there like piano keys moving one right centre did fall out and I pushed it back in the hole yet hurts even though should be no nerve and it’s cut into the gum below a little but I didn’t know what else to do I asked my dentist to take them all out when he removed 3 just before Christmas after I’d been calling each day and begging for the emergency appointment as couldn’t get one booked with him They finally saw me and almost tried to blame me that I had an infection in my jaw that probably took months to get so bad So he took the 3 teeth out I asked what my treatment plan would be He said you don’t have one we will just deal with them as they cause pain I got upset as there fb page is full of amazing smiles they have given people and I know i can’t afford that or the treatment you had I’d give anything for the joy you feel, I said I couldn’t afford implants but that I’d save pay to have better normal dentures but he just said I think it would be a bit much for you to have all the teeth out in one to although they need to come out Now I’m in pain I’m constantly having to fix the glue / filling holding my teeth together as I try to eat anything it brakes I clench my teeth or press my teeth down and brake the fix It’s taken me upwards of 6 hours messing to try stick them together since the middle tooth fell out I just want to be able to smile that’s my only bucket list item But at this rate don’t see it happening with government dentist Although his private patients can lifes just too cruel think I had enough to deal with without my teeth or that I shouldn’t care compared to the cancer but it’s not true my social anxiety is worse because of everything but at least if I had a nice smile they may not notice how skinny I am And I would hopefully gain weight as currently can only eat mush and drinks that don’t affect the compound sticking my teeth together so mostly water but have a bmi under 16 so know that’s dangerous too Anyway sorry to ramble I’m so happy you found such an amazing doctor to give you you’re beautiful smile back just wish life would give me a break 😥😔

I recently got my snap on dentures a few days ago. It’s been painful taking them in and out to the point I’m about crying 😢. Still, I wouldn’t change a thing.

😮this is what i need.my teeth ar gubbed with grinding them am in agony just now a can eat anything even soft option i struggle.bn going on since start of pandemic.nearly had teeth fitted they made teeth up and put them in to show me what look like then covid started that was that fooked.then when everything opend again i was back and fourth to dental hospital and my dentist..had to start all over again then got to that stage again they fitted with teeth again what it would look like.then dental hospital stopped comucating with my dentist they lost all my paperwork.now im back to drawing board again.cant eat cant talk properly cant eat without being in pain even brushing my teeth what i have left is painfull.at my wits end.I got a letter from dental hosputal to fone them tomorrow this will be to make a appointment to start all over again.wish me luck folks.🤞🤞

Its funny. I just got ny dentures yesterday and for 6 months i had no top teeth. I never had an issue with talking but what's even stranger is that people told me they couldnt even tell i had none on top. I hope i can get used to dentures in the future.

Britany, I'm going through this journey. I'm going to have my implants placed soon and for now have the upper denture. I'm a woman of color, but my structure is similar to yours. Did you have a problem with them putting the teeth too far out and not shaped correctly for your palate? I can't stand these temps.

wish I had implants..went in today to have my exam and I'm getting dentures not implants and it's costing mt $11,500! :( I'm so bummed. all you implant ppl better feel lucky n special cuz u must be. I hate being poor fuck,,,23 extractions and upoer and lower dentures,,,flipn glue in garbage right? uhggg this sucks,,,I'm so jealous. I'm only 37 too so guess I gotta start saving cuz I definitely feel I need implants over what I'm getting:(((((
