This position does not work on vertical windshields on Jeeps, some trucks and other SUVS. The glass angle points the transponder forward, not upward, so it will NOT trigger the system. After months of frustration, I mounted mine all the way forward on the dash facing up. It works great. There are a many Ohio drivers with these vehicles, so please consider adding this tip to your instructions.

This is totally unrealistic because our vehicles are our personal property and are not always used for private use, as my company does not pay for my transponder when I travel for work!

Can you keep track of your EZPass transactions and submit your tolls for reimbursement when traveling for work? That's what I used to do. If not, you can easily remove the transponder and stick it back on later.

What if the transponder is mounted there and still sporadically doesn’t work? Seems to work about half the time. I’ve had it for quite a while. Do they get too old?

Your video does not show proper mounting of the transponder for cars with EyeSight technology. I asked at the BMV and placed mine where I was instructed.

We had the same in our Mercedes and had to place it within the tinted area in order to work.

You can order a license plate mount transponder, specifically for large vehicles

So how bout you mind your own business and keep your unwanted comments to yourself ? These things look ridiculous in the windshield, we can’t have a car air freshener hanging from the mirror but yet the state can require this to be mounted in my windshield ? The fck outta here…

I have the original transponder I got 15 years ago it looks nothing like the one showing in the video. I have it mounted on the dash at the bottom of the windshield never had a problem with it there. How long do they last?
