Well done! Like the blue tape idea! I might try that to keep the aluminum foil under control!

Adding the blue tape definitely helps keep any sharp edges on the foil from poking through the clay or my fingertips. 🙂

I’m a South Florida native, now a Tennessee transplant. I spent a lot of time out on the water when I was younger. Sea turtles are so beautiful and mysterious. I love this sculpture, the detail work you put into them is amazing. As I mentioned in another comment, I’d love to introduce my kids to a craft like this. If you would sometime, maybe consider doing a video about the process and what materials it takes to make these pieces? If you don’t wanna give away trade secrets I’d totally understand! Thanks again I love your work!

I appreciate your kind words. I'm an open book when it comes to sharing my knowledge. I don't believe in gate keeping. I would absolutely consider making a video about my creative process and materials used. In the meantime, you might consider watching a few of my earlier videos, as I did go a little more in depth about the armature and individual steps. Particularly, the Oceanic Sunfish, Puffer Fish and Manta Ray sculpts. Thanks, for watching!

I love it, checked your channel out after I saw your comment on my video. I’m an artistic person myself. From a young age I was able to draw perfectly anything I looked at. Although I don’t draw much anymore, I focused my creativity on building tangible things and I love steel work. Anyway, I can really appreciate your talent with these clay sculptures. I will show your work to my daughters (sons too) because my kids are all wonderfully artistic as well. My oldest daughter crochets. She can make anything she wants and has been successful selling her crafts at fairs. She has been getting into fabrication clothes and things lately too. I know they will all love your work and I’d encourage them to try something like this out! Thank you! I’m gonna subscribe to your channel too.

@@Tennesseemountainhomestead I would suggest getting them Sculpey clay in the beginning. It's much softer and easier to work with than what I use. You can find it on Amazon in all kinds of colors. Do make a post of their creations when they're complete. I'd love to see them!
