This saved me ,I was locked out and had to bust the door open. Took apart the latch to find that the spring had somehow come out of it's normal position. Thank you!

yale is piece of garbage, I am stuck in my house now because the latch fell out leaving no way to put the damn thing back. the eye needle thingy inside fell into the lock so you cannot attach it back even if you wanted to.

Would have been better if you could advise what size drill bit you need instead of saying "suitable". Doesn't even say on the instructions that come with it.

Great video! I live in a flat above a shop. There are 4 flats with a communal front door. Some bastard, who I think was visiting a neighbour of mine, has disabled this type of lock on our front door, which I think was because it was too much trouble for them to press the buzzer on the entry phone, or they want to visit a neighbour who doesn't want to see them, or to carry out a mail fraud. I think this video tells me enough to fix the immobilised bolt, but I wonder what's the quickest way.
