My first PlayStation my dad give this to me one random day it was not my birthday it was not Christmas it was no special occasion he just appeared with it and say hey I got something for you! My first gaming console he introduced me to this magical world it was 1998 and it was on special for $199 he bought a bunch of games with it including crash bandicoot and more the first game I play was Test drive 5 I remember the song in the intro named Genius that song made me love the rock music I enjoy this so much and I lost my dad on December 2022 I miss you dad 😢 he was the only man on this earth that was happy that I was Better than him and after I lost him I feel so lonely 😭 I don’t have no one that I can talk about my stuff nobody loves me like he did I would love to play with him again! He knew what he was doing he did a great job as a father and biological was my grandpa but I was a son to him!

I have a blue debug (DTL-H1101) model and what's interesting about mine is that it has a metal spindle ring. All the rest I've ever seen have been plastic but mine is metal for some reason.

That’s really intriguing! I wonder if it’s because the debug was expected to see a lot of use and thus needed a more heavy-duty spindle to resist wear and tear-especially since it can run burned games.

It took 3 tries for me to buy this off eBay some years ago. One was already sold and they forgot to take down the listing. Another had the wrong item shown. Got it the 3rd time, but each of the Japanese sellers I dealt with were extremely nice. Very pleasant shopping experience despite the issues.

There are 3! There's a PS1 StarFox like game, and a PS2 crossover strategy game called Sunrise World War. S:WW features Sunrise anime properties like Gundam, Big O, Votoms, Saint Saiya, and Bebop all together. Some original Japanese voice actors reprise their roles.

Thank you. There’s not enough Haruhi Love nowadays. Unfortunately I don’t think anyone is working on an English fan translation for this game, but I know there are one or two of the others in the works which will be exciting to experience!

There's always something about PS1s that makes you want to collect them and one of the reasons why is not only their variants but the boxes alone. I once had a 7000 unit. Almost unused but the box was white and red. Not like this one. Gave it to a great friend of mine. Another was a 1000 model. I loved it very much but decided to give it to my cousin's and now. I have a 3500 and a 9000 model. 3500 models have in my opinion the best boxes because it was colored and literally a masterpiece to display in your shelf but unfortunately I have to repair mine because as much as it looks almost unused. The laser died. The 9000 on the other hand has almost the same box design as this but man, it was like new. PS1s are always a treat to collect. I had one as a kid and its still alive to give me the same feeling I had as a kid. Thanks for the vid man. Subscribed!

Im getting one again next month from Japan, my Japanese PlayStation 2 has trouble reading ps1 games, but can easily read PlayStation 2 DVD games.

PSX version is not a very good port. Loadtimes are constant after every round and are far too long for serious play. All Visuals and audio are highly compressed and frames of animation are cut or missing. Stage intros are completely missing. All cinematics, endings and Roll Credits are recodered FMVs instead of real time. Slowdown. Would rate it a 5 and that is being generous.

If you think the load times are crazy on the Japanese version, don't ever try the Pal region one. It's WAY worse. The US one is slightly better.

That’s a tough one, since I think many would regard the sequel as an all around improvement. The backgrounds in CvS are crisp and dynamic, while those in CvS 2 feel a more flat in comparison-so there’s that. And this is matter of personal taste, but I find the music of CvS to hit harder. d(￣ ￣)

@@gdam0079 I understand it, but it's not the effects... but rather the mix of franchises, since it is neither KoF nor is it SF in essence. Apart from bad graphics, there are no endings and some forgiveness is cheap copy paste.

@@gdam0079 That's the bad thing! Because unlike MVC 1 and 2, or any of the KOF games, these do have a story and endings, and their quality is far superior to this little title called Capcom Vs SNK. I think they actually made too much of a fuss about it for what it really is.
