i thought the game was impossible when I first fought genichiro, it took me probably 6 hours to learn how to miriki counter correctly and it was worth it. Parrying is definitely the best thing you can do in this game it’s like dropping a sail on a boat and from there on it’s smooth sailing bro trust me

Sekiro is very different than other souls games. The primary mechanic is to parry not dodge, just replace your dodge with a parry it's certainly easier to do, looks hella cool and if done perfectly deals posture damage to your opponent. I know it can be difficult but learning it will make the game very easy for you in the long run.

This was the fight where I actually learned to deflect pretty good but this was the first time I reached phase 3 and it all went out the window under pressure and I simply went back to my Souls instincts.

If you just keep attacking genichiro, and deflect. He will legit just use 10% of his moveset. 5% if youre lucky

try deflecting more, its a good skill to learn instead of dodging and spamming firecrackers( also it makes you feel way cooler so)

Learn mikiri counter . Also directing lightning back to genichiro is better than dodging it. Rest of the gameplay was great

Thank you for the information but I’m sure the ultimate difficulty and the new game+ trophies auto pops up if you upload the save as new game plus and ultimate difficulty at the same time
