Lots of spoons to you (and to Skyla), I wish you the best for 2025 ! Your compression glove looks cooler than mine, yours look more like a part of a superhero suit xD I hope it relieves some of the pain and stabilized your joints. I don't know if you've heard of the WristWidget bandage, it's a tiny brace for the wrist who helps me with the pain and allows all movements of the wrist but prevent going too far, so if you have pain/instability in that joint it might be an idea (you can put it above the glove easily and use both at the same time). The down side of the Wrist widget is that after only about 3 months, the velcro are not working properly, and also it can make your skin sweat (I believe you have allergy issues and I would assume sweating + having a fabric against your skin might create some reactions issue). It was prescribed to me by a Doctor after the suggestion of my OT and my insurance give me back the money after I sent them the prescription and the bills, but in Switzerland it's quite pricy (I believe 55CHF just for one) and I had tested one from Amazon for way cheaper in the past and it was exactly the same (but I'm not sure the insurance would pay back if it comes from Amazon instead of an orthopedic shop xD). Usually they are prescribed for an other medical condition to help with the pain before patients have surgery, so probably your medical team wouldn't thought of it first hand to help with pain, hypermobility and proprioception, but it might be an idea if your wrist cause issues that you can discuss with them ;) (My OT did a study on her patients with Ehlers-Danlos for the use of the Wrist Widget, I don't know if it was published and it was a small sample but for what she has seen it was helpful for most patients). Oh and I forgot, but I'm pretty sure you are diagnosed with FND, and I recently read a swiss study from 2024 on PubMed mentionning the possibility of FND being a comorbidity of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and Hypermobilty Spectrum Disorder. Thought it was cool to know and maybe of interest to you xD

Hi ! Thank you so much for all the information. I really love my compression gloves they work really well for me. And I add the brace on top of my thumb actually. I have chronic tendinitis in my thumb so I have the brace to help while the gloves support the rest of my hand. Though I will keep your suggestions in mind in case I need them in the future. I have been experiencing increased problems with my hands this year a lot more joint pain, swelling and things like that. My doctors is testing my for rhumatismes. And for the FND and Ehler danlos study, my mom saw it and we are going to use it to finally see a EDS specialist (I have been waiting for years) and hopefully finally get my diagnosis because I only have an unofficial diagnosis from a doctor who isn’t a specialist. But thank you for thinking about it and sharing it I really appreciate it! Happy new year and all the best to you!

I have a neurological condition that got triggered by the concussion. So it’s because of the fall but one of the symptoms of my disorder is loss of speech. It’s like my brain doesn’t let me talk anymore if it make sense

I was diagnosed with chronic spontaneous urticaria which is a malfunction of the immune system. Basically my body has allergic reactions to things I am not technically allergic to. And it’s only skin reaction to things like heat, cold, pressure, pollen, products on the skin. But I have heard of stress induced reaction before. I would suggest going to an allergist to know for sure what it is. And also to take as many pictures as possible of the reaction for the doctor to see it really helps. But I treat it with multiple types of antihistamine at a very high dose and even with that I still have some reactions it’s very hard to treat. I hope you will figure it out I know that’s really not fun to go through so I hope that you will find a solution!

Hi ! You didn’t miss anything really I just made a community post a few days ago explaining what happened to me. I had an accident, I violently hit my head and I had a concussion. And in the end after many other things I ended up not being able to talk after having a seizure. It should be temporary but recovery is extremely difficult and slow. I appreciate your support so much it means the world thank you so much ! Big hugs to you too !
