When you set up to do a wheelie you have to pull in the clutch and get your rpm's up which I don't think you were doing.

Excellent 👌 as a new wheelie rider, you should do exactly this just pop it up and get used to modulating the throttle. By getting comfortable with the throttle, you can then go onto tapping the foot brake, to get used to that. Once both are dialed, you can start dropping back

The bike is fuckin awesome, just do yourself a favor bro and keep an eye on your swingarm for rust. It's known for that. Cover it in ACF-50 and it'll keep it like new. Riding at 4-5K RPM and you can gun it at any moment. Lol

Get him to add throttle slowly while his front wheel is up instead of jerking it like its a 2 stroke and he might just do it perfectly, hes doing a good job otherwise

Yeah the paint was in good shape underneath I just had to use a 3m eraser wheel to get the residue off
