When I travel to New Mexico and check on family, I always take back my favorite foods like green chile, red chile and pinto beans! For chile and pinto beans I always come back during the harvest season. Thank you for growing these beans. I think they're the best. And thanks for the great videos. We watched the process all year!

Are those seed beans or are they ready for the end user. How does a small operation justify all that cleaning, processing equipment?
@nessfarms197910 күн бұрын
@@r.scotthill3082They are not seed beans. We sell directly to grocery stores and local markets and are able to get a better price. In the end it is still farming and hard to justify anything we do financially. It is a life style.

I run new holland sickle cutter. Not as fast as a discbine. But don’t have anything crazy expensive to break other then the main pump and 1 gearbox Sorry to see that corn and hail. Hopefully it comes back somewhat. I’ve never grown corn other than in the garden.

That corn is gone..😢 Those gear drive troughs circle any debris throughout everything. One bad bearing means you check an clean the whole head....or the worse happens. Those spindles were the price of gold it seems. Keep your head up....some years are tougher than others. Farming is always a bit better than working for someone else.....where else can you go to work that looks like that view of that beanfield? Best Wishes.

Looks like the pollination is compromised. Should get some grain, but even for silage, grain makes tonnage.

I've never seen a more wasteful method of spreading manure.
@nessfarms19795 ай бұрын
It's actually very efficient. The trucks dump directly into the field instead of the edge of the field. With the latter method we would then need another loader, tractor, spreader, and operator which is very costly and not time efficient. Several growers in this area do it the way its shown in the video, and it works very well.
