What company/guide did you go with? I have found Africa on Wheels do car hire but don't offer dune driving trips.

We Went there in the times at Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat Base, when nobody knows this place and no people gone there. In 1994. 1997.1999. At that time only one Jeep available down at Riakot Bridge to cross Boulder Ridge and reached Tatto Village. And No Shops there at Riakot Bridge. Total Silence at the Bridge stop no people except Vehicle on KKH stopped there at Bridge. From Mountain Warriors Trekking Club. +92-335-5011420 WhatsApp. We had been done, dozens of tracks in Northern Areas of Pakistan. Covered thousands of Miles by walk. e.g. Concordia 1992. Deosai Plains 1993. Nanga Parbat from Fairy Meadows and Rupal valley Face. Snow Lake. Biafo Hispar. 1998Trich Mir Base Camp. 1998. Rakaposhi Base Camp. 1996. Wahkhan Pamir Track 2000. Shimshal 2001. Gondogoro La and Masherbrum Base camp 2003. And so on in Kashmir and NWFP. Read more

The ice walk was a very small part of the trek and did not really require crampons. Thank you.

Yes. Stunning desert landcape. Large dunes, deep bowls; where the high dunes meet the Atlantic ocean is one of the most memorable sights.
