man driving from laurel/baltimore through DC until you get to like fredericksbug is just atrocious, especially the MD part. i try to avoid being east of washington DC at all costs. i cant imagine how much worse it has gotten since the bridge collapse in baltimore too - that was a huge thoroughfare thru baltimore

Thanks for giving impessions of driving in the US. After a desastrous first semester at University I worked s a ski-instructor and when the snow was gone I worked parttime as a semi truckdriver transporting loads of paper and cardboard. Here in Europe the cities are so close that it was every day driving bumper to bumper, fighting to reach deadlines, I went back to uni, did another subject. Being an outdoor guy I think like you ,I like your hiking reports and your opinion about restaurants. I wish you safe driving and lots of nice moments travelling. You will find your destination in life, as I know it sometimes takes some time. If possible visit Switzerland, playground for Hiking, montainbiking, skiing etc. (retired) Jack R

Congratulations on your new gig. I went to Big M, but they didn’t cross west of Mississippi River unless you ran the Tire Account hand unloading tires. I stayed in the NE delivering tires or furniture. And the trucks were super SLOWWWW LOL

Stay out of that City at night. A very dangerous town. Anywhere from 3 to 5 people die every night in that town from gunshot wounds. I live across the river in Clarksville Indiana. Another Democrat town that has run amuck with violence. I don't even go across the river any more.

Been thru Louisville many a time being that I lived in Evansville, IN. Check out Louisville when you get some downtime. Have a Uber show you some spots. I always had a tendency to over steer while backing. Maybe it was my lack of depth perception or tandems. Probably operator error
