Dear professor Christopher Barile Thank you so much for your attached video , but I do not understand why γredz /γoxy is equal is it possible to clear me. I understand γ represents the charge transfer coefficients of the redox reactions. Specifically, γred represents the charge transfer coefficient of the reduction reaction, while γoxy represents the charge transfer coefficient of the oxidation reaction. In many cases, such as in some symmetric systems or when the electrode process is reversible, the charge transfer coefficients of the reduction and oxidation reactions are equal. Mathematically, this is represented as γred = γoxy. This equality implies that the rate of the forward (oxidation) reaction is equal to the rate of the backward (reduction) reaction, and the overall process is reversible. When γred = γoxy, it simplifies certain electrochemical equations and allows for easier analysis of the system. However, it's important to note that in some cases, the charge transfer coefficients may not be equal, especially in asymmetric systems or when the electrode process is not fully reversible. Is it correct my attitude from your attached video. Marzieh
